The Next Big Super Star (スーパースターは誰だ!? マリオトーナメント) was an Event Tourney based around the Mario series. It ran from 6 a.m. on September 20, 2019 to 6 a.m. on September 23, 2019 (UTC). During the event, only characters and stages from the Mario series could be used. Additionally, only Mario spirits were awarded as prizes.

- Woo-hoo! This time-limited tourney features fighters and stages from the Super Mario series. Taking part will earn you a spirit from the Super Mario series. The further you advance, the better the spirit you'll win![1]
