Kamikaze essentially refers to taking hold the opponent with a grab or otherwise and falling off stage with them, committing Self-Destruct as well as knocking out the opponent. While the use may sound questionable, it can be very effective in stock battles, especially when the player has already taken a critical amount of damage, to stay ahead.

Kirby's use of kamikaze tactics is well known and very effective, and has been coined as "Kirbycide". Kirby can even avoid the SD in some cases.
