King Dedede (デデデ, Dedede) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was confirmed on June 12th, 2018.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4

Aesthetics

• Like many other characters, King Dedede is more expressive, both with his face and his movement, but mostly his movements.

Special moves

• It appears King Dedede now has the ability to inhale and spit back Gordos from Gordo Throw.
• King Dedede has a new Final Smash. The Final Smash features King Dedede taking his "Masked Dedede" appearance from Kirby Super Star Ultra before trapping opponents inside of a cage as he attacks them with a barrage of missiles and his Jet Hammer. This is better than his previous Final Smash, because the opponent can't escape from it.
• King Dedede has new forward aerial which is now a horizontal hammer swing.
• Down throw is a little more of a snappier animation.
• Up Specialing below a solid block can result in King Dedede falling with alot of end lag.
