t0mmy started playing competitive ''Smash'' with TANG 9 in Fall 2006. Since then he has helped organized and competed in nearly every SF:E tournament and other series of state/local events. Later, he participated in the bigger competitive scene with events like MLG, 0C2, and NCT2. Ever since ''Brawl's'' release, t0mmy has scored 1st place in many Oregon state events and went on to win many major Pacific Northwest tournaments (RCB series and GameClucks series). Noticing a decline in attendance he announced his retirement from the "local" scene and focused on hosting events to help bolster tournament growth, but continued to play outside the state to represent Oregon, where he scored wins in Washington around the time of {{sm|Felix}}'s top 3 placing at an MLG event (MLG Raleigh). His best placing on a national level to date was Evo 2k9 in ''Brawl'' Singles taking top 10 at 9th place. The first grassroots Pacific Northwest regional (East/West Washington, North/South Oregon, Idaho, and Canada players attended) tournament for ''[[Super Smash Bros. for 3DS]]'' (hosted at GameZone/GameClucks in Washington on Oct. 4th) started off his involvement with the newest ''Smash'' game, where he took 2nd place. Since then, t0mmy has won nearly every weekly and monthly ''3DS'' event in his state leading up to the launch of ''[[Super Smash Bros. Wii U]]''. He is currently ranked 2nd on the Oregon ''Smash 4'' Power Rankings.

t0mmy has been a smasher and tournament organizer from Eugene, Oregon since the beginning days of Oregon's Smash scene. He was ranked 3rd on the Pacific Northwest Brawl Power Rankings and was ranked #1 in Oregon. For some time, he was considered to be one of the best American R.O.B. mains. t0mmy is a member of Super Smash Twins, along with his twin brother, t1mmy.

History[edit]

t0mmy started playing competitive Smash with Super Smash Bros. Melee. TANG 9 marked one of his earliest appearances outside his hometown in Fall 2006. Since then he has competed in and helped organized many early state and local tournaments including the SF:E series and other events. Later, he competed in the bigger competitive scene with events like MLG, 0C2, and NCT2.

After Brawl's release, t0mmy switched focus from Melee and scored 1st place in many Oregon state events and went on to win many major Pacific Northwest tournaments (RCB series and GameClucks series). Noticing a decline in attendance he announced his retirement from the "local" scene and focused on hosting events to help bolster tournament growth, but continued to play outside the state to represent Oregon, where he scored wins in Washington around the time of Felix's top 3 placing at an MLG event (MLG Raleigh). His highest Smash Bros. Brawl placing in a major was at Evo 2k9 in Brawl Singles taking 9th place.

The first grassroots Pacific Northwest regional (East/West Washington, North/South Oregon, Idaho, and Canada players attended) tournament for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS (hosted at GameZone/GameClucks in Washington on Oct. 4th) started off his involvement with the next entry in the Smash series, where he took 2nd place. t0mmy went on to win nearly every weekly and monthly 3DS event in his state leading up to the launch of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. His highest placing at Smash Wii U in a major was PAX 2015 where he took 9th place. However, his Smash 4 involvement was notably shorter lived than with previous Smash titles as he forsook entering any Smash event at Genesis 5 and instead focused on playing in Splatoon 2 on the team "Super Splat Squids".

t0mmy reemerged to the competitive scene with the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but with minimal tournament travel. He has been ranked #1 on his local PR throughout 2019. Outside of competition t0mmy is usually active within the local community including co-founding a Team named Synergy (later rebranded as Unity), and running an Oregon Smash Discord server.
