Ness's third hit of his [[neutral attack]] or '''jab''' in ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'' involves Ness doing a small kick. The move does approximately 4% and has limited range with slight knockback. It is not recommended to use this move as unlike jab 1, jab 3 does not lead into a free grab, also known as a [[jab grab]]. This move, similar to most jabs, is also ''punishable on hit'' (at low percents as well as higher,) depending on opposing character. Therefore, this move is rarely seen competitively.
