Super Smash Bros. Slamfest '99 was an official promotional event held at the MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 24th, 1999. Organized by Nintendo of America and public relations firm Golin/Harris, its purpose was to promote the release of Super Smash Bros. The event featured a real-life, staged wrestling match between costumed performers dressed as Mario, Yoshi, Pikachu, and Donkey Kong, performed in front of a live audience. Additionally, demo kiosks were set up for attendees to preview the game. The costumes used were the same as those seen in the North American commercial for Super Smash Bros. (more...)

3 November 2024: At Luminosity Makes Moves Miami 2024, Tweek, Sonix, and Light take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles; Zain, Aklo, and Wizzrobe take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Melee singles. MkLeo & Maister take Ultimate doubles; Preeminent & Soonsay take Melee doubles.

27 October 2024: At DELTA 9, Miya, Raru, and Ryopei take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles.

20 October 2024: At Cirque 4, Miya, Lima, and Light take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles. Miya & Hurt take Ultimate doubles.

20 October 2024: At Sumabato SP 52, acola, Asimo, and Raru take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles.
