Do you have any experience in merging. It would be great to merge with the Brawl mini wiki before it's release date but I don't have any idea how. I have also left ShadowUltra, who seems to be the most active contributor there, a message about merging, but no response. [[User:Bonko24|Bonko24]] 18:58, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

The launch guide is is pretty much done so I'd like to display it some how on the main page or as a banner along the top of the page. I don't know which would be best or how to do it. Would you know how to do this? The page is [[Super Smash Bros. Wiki:Super Smash Bros. Brawl Launch Center]]. [[User:Bonko24|Bonko24]] 23:44, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Or something to that effect's name: On SmashWiki, having articles on smashers in the main space was not incorrect (see [[SmashWiki:Pool Room#Extension requests]]), so long as they were written in the third person and with decent facts and such. :: I agree with Sky here, if you want to start moving a large % of smashwiki's content to a new namespace, you should really start a discussion thread about this on a talk page and let other people share their opinions. There is no ONE right way to organize a wiki's content and no ONE person should set a policy that affects this much content. With two communities merging there are bound to be different ways to do things.. neither is right or wrong and the communities should discuss with an OPEN mind until they reach a decision Together [[w:User:Angies|angies]]<staff /> ([[w:User talk:Angies|talk]]) 17:03, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

:Well, it looks like it doesn't exist in the Merge list, so it seemed like unlike all the other pages, the SmashWiki Bowser article was actually deleted off the Internet during the merger process. If it's possible that and other "now-nonexistent articles" can be "un-deleted", though, that would be great. Hey I'm a bit confused about the personal/custom template rule. You see, there are these things called [[Template:Word Bubble|Word Bubbles]]. They are made to be used by people. They have a hard to remember code, so people make their own templates so all they have to type it <nowiki>{{name|text}}</nowiki>. Could this possibly be a loophole in the rule? Thanks for your time (Please reply on my talkpage), [[User:UberPhoeb|<font color="darkblue">'''Uber'''</font>]][[User talk:UberPhoeb|<font color="blue">''Phoeb''</font>]][[user:UberPhoeb/Fanfic|a]] [[User:uberPhoeb/Walkthroughs|b]] [[user:UberPhoeb/Project FMApedia|c]] 00:47, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

== Old stuff of merit ==
I found SmashWiki:Super Smash Bros. Brawl Launch Center and wasn't sure what to think.  Some of the photoshopping is pretty good, so I wouldn't get rid of the photos.  Nevertheless, much of the info is out of date and I think the whole thing needs a new name now that Brawl's been out a while.  I think it's worth keeping, but probably needs a HUGE overhaul.  What are your thoughts? {[[User:Miles.oppenheimer|My name is Miles,]] [[User talk:Miles.oppenheimer|and I approve]] [[Special:Contributions/Miles.oppenheimer|this message.]]} 14:53, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
== DBR ==
I don't understand why you deleted those pages. Yes, their name is offensive, but it's been censored in the articles. They're one of the best-ranked crews in NorCal with some of the most well-known combo videos. Deleting their stuff is like deleting Ken Hoang's page because it mentioned his Peach theory (which it incidentally no longer does). ==Deleting Talk Page Redirects==
This seems like a bit of a make-work project and doesn't serve much purpose. Talk page redirects are created automatically by the MediaWiki engine after a page move in order to account for all avenues of access to be opened for users who may have edited it before the move. For instance, I frequently type [[Talk:RJM]] into the search box to access my own talk page, even though it redirects to [[Smasher talk:RJM]]. --<font color="000023">'''[[User:Randall00|RJM]]'''</font> ''[[User talk:Randall00|Talk]]'' 21:20, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
:Talk page redirects are not useful 90% of the time. Redirects themselves that are not talk pages are useful because they both 1) function for search purposes (like for example if an article's title was expanded '''[[Wii]]''' > '''[[Nintendo Wii]]'''. But '''Talk:Wii''' would not be useful because it's not practical to keep it because people do not search talk pages, your smasher talk one is a conveinence for you, but might not be for the rest of the community. It doesn't matter if it appears to be a "make-work" project to you, if I want to find things to do around here to make things more clean and organized, then so be it. You might not think anything of sorting through stuff like this (maybe you're more of a content individual than a maintenance individual), but Wiki-gnoming tasks and projects both keep one busy and the wiki looking tidy. Stop interfering with my little projects and sweating the small stuff, it makes you look like a jerk. --{{User:Charitwo/Sig}} 22:11, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
::Furthermore, you're a horrible sysop anyway. I can honestly say I prefer the company of just about every sysop that came with the merge ''except'' you. If you don't like the way a wiki works, nobody is forcing you to stay. Go play and stop stressing yourself out. You're going to be one of those people that has a heart attack before they're forty. --{{User:Charitwo/Sig}} 22:30, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
:::Hey, fuck you. I come to your talk page to explain why several of your previous deletes have been reversed and you respond to justify why you'd waste your time in such a way, which is fine, but then you're gonna take the time to come back just to add a little personal dig about me being a horrible sysop and looking like a jerk for "interfering with your little projects". No, fuck you, I don't appreciate that--I'm a damn good sysop and this merge ruined everything that was planned by the SmashWiki community beforehand. I made every effort I possibly could to diplomatically deal with a decision that was autocratically enforced. And you know, it really sucks that we've had to meet on such fouled ground, Charitwo, because before the merge happened, everyone on SmashWiki believed me to be a peaceable individual and a valuable and overqualified sysop. Even though most people realize that it's a flawed way of thinking, first impressions still count for a lot and the first impression that all of you Wikia staff members and community members have of me is a loud and angry protest about the merge which was directed specifically at [[Gideon]], who seems to be the one who made the decision. And unfortunately, painting that kind of picture leaves a reputation with first-time viewers that my substantial contributions of the past can't seem to quell. Ever since, it's been a fight just to clean up this disaster and when I ended up banning a bunch of users that to this day contribute more garbage to the wiki than a bunch of talk page redirects ever could, my persona as a hard-nosed power-abusing dictator seemed to come to full fruition despite a stunning lack of evidence. It's like this entire project that I had been heavily involved in and cared vehemently for suddenly blew up in my face and now the entire community has this backlash against both me ''and'' the ideas that used to steer the course of SmashWiki's future. In any case, don't talk down to me about being a horrible sysop and more importantly, don't berate me with comments like "go play" and "if you don't like it, leave" because the former implies that you're treating this argument as though you've already won it and the latter is totally self-involved without any consideration for the thousands of hours I've put in to making this the best resource of smash information available. Remarkably, the Super Smash Bros. Wikia administration seems to have lost sight of that goal well before we showed up (and who could blame them in light of all the inevitable spam). Anyway, sorry for explaining myself; the next time I interfere with your little projects, I'll do so in silence. --<font color="000023">'''[[User:Randall00|RJM]]'''</font> ''[[User talk:Randall00|Talk]]'' 05:32, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
::::Both of you need to cool down.  I understand that we all have our differences in what we consider the appropriate way to run this wiki, but when these become attacks between two sysops, it needs to be taken elsewhere.  Your comments here have not gone unnoticed by other members of the wiki who have expressed concern to me about the behaviour of two sysops.  I have to agree the above behaviour is quite unbecoming of administrators on this wiki.  [[User:Clarinet Hawk|Clarinet Hawk]] <small>([[User talk:Clarinet Hawk|talk]] · [[Special:Contributions/Clarinet Hawk|contributions]])</small> 04:05, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for categorizing my page, Pach E. Derm. I was a little mixed up so I didn't do it. I'll remember to do that if I create another page. Thanks again!

Merging

Do you have any experience in merging. It would be great to merge with the Brawl mini wiki before it's release date but I don't have any idea how. I have also left ShadowUltra, who seems to be the most active contributor there, a message about merging, but no response. Bonko24 18:58, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Merging would have to be done by one of the w:Community Team|Community Team, preferably Angela or Catherine, since they are the ones who handle wiki requests. --Charitwo 19:39, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Possible SmashWiki merge

Hey Charitwo, I got big news for you. SmashWiki, the other SSB wiki, may be merging with this wiki soon, possibly by next Tuesday. So, since this will be a fairly large merge, it is in our best interest that we plan out the merge in case it does happen so that it happens smoothly. We have to discuss the best way to organize, like what content comes to this wiki, what content gets deleted, etc. Feel free to discuss the merge on talk page.--Richard 21:10, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Launch Guide

The launch guide is is pretty much done so I'd like to display it some how on the main page or as a banner along the top of the page. I don't know which would be best or how to do it. Would you know how to do this? The page is SmashWiki:Super Smash Bros. Brawl Launch Center. Bonko24 23:44, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Merging

Thanks for the heads up. I'm fixing them now. Bonko24 17:00, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Gonko

Or something to that effect's name: On SmashWiki, having articles on smashers in the main space was not incorrect (see SmashWiki:Pool Room#Extension requests), so long as they were written in the third person and with decent facts and such. Don't be mean to him. :( --Sky (t | c | w) 06:02, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

That's going to change soon after finishing with page merges. All these mainspace "profiles" will be moved to the userspace where they belong. --Charitwo 06:03, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Did you even read the discussion? There's going to be resistance to that. :/ While I agree with you that they shouldn't be in the main space (some of them should, as some of them are well known), you're going to have to go through the same thing I did. --Sky (t | c | w) 06:10, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Regardless of the discussion, the mainspace is called article space for a reason. It's for content, not profiles/groups/clans/etc. --Charitwo 06:12, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
It is content/article space for SmashWiki'rs, though. Again, I stress that I agree with you that the majority of them shouldn't reside in the main space, or at least they should have an overhaul, but this isn't something you're going to get away with cleanly. >_<. --Sky (t | c | w) 06:20, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Sky here, if you want to start moving a large % of smashwiki's content to a new namespace, you should really start a discussion thread about this on a talk page and let other people share their opinions. There is no ONE right way to organize a wiki's content and no ONE person should set a policy that affects this much content. With two communities merging there are bound to be different ways to do things.. neither is right or wrong and the communities should discuss with an OPEN mind until they reach a decision Together [w:User:Angies|angies]<staff /> ([w:User talk:Angies|talk]) 17:03, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Bowser

Forgot to undelete it. Could you do that and save to newest version of that version for me? Erik posted a hard copy of it that he had on hand, but I'd rather have the version which was deleted. Thanks! --Sky (t | c | w) 08:07, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, it looks like it doesn't exist in the Merge list, so it seemed like unlike all the other pages, the SmashWiki Bowser article was actually deleted off the Internet during the merger process. If it's possible that and other "now-nonexistent articles" can be "un-deleted", though, that would be great. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 08:24, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

You haven't responded

You are not responsible for deleting content, nor are you to be threatening other contributors. Do it again and you're blocked. --Charitwo 18:18, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

You posted that on my IP address, 24.6.103.162 a while ago, and I replied asking what I did. As I remember, I did nothing of that sort, and a quick look at my contributions [1] shows that I have done nothing wrong. I would really like it if you would reply to this as soon as possible, since you ignored my request last time. --Misken67 21:47, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Will you please respond. I know that you've edited recently, due to me plowing through the logs. I really am curious at what I've done, or if a comment of mine seemed insult-ish. Thanks, --Misken67 04:55, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
I've been busy elsewhere, this is 1 wiki out of almost 6000 that I pop in on daily, although this is one of the focused ones, replies during the week are slim to none due to work and other stuff. And constantly being harassed for an answer won't get you answered sooner, it's inpolite. Anyways, as for your question, I've replied elsewhere. Cheers. --Charitwo 13:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I've seen it. I remember asked once during the weekend, but it disappeared a few days later when I came back to check for answers. I don't know how, and a few clicks in "History" wouldn't reveal any results. Was it archived? Afterwards, I asked only twice, which hardly constitutes as "harassing". However, thanks for bringing it to my attention that I might be a bit harsh on IP users. I'll try to be nicer next time. --Misken67 01:08, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Undelete smasher redirect articles

Could you undelete the following articles?

[[DarkSpidey13]] [[Geo635]] [[Darkspidey13]] [[CyberSaber]]

These page were redirects to a smasher page from the main namespace and should be restored because of the following policy (draft) sentence "The smasher page will be allowed a maximum of three redirects out of the main namespace and into the Smasher namespace." at User:Sky2042/Sandbox#Required Logan - (Talk  · Contributions) 13:21, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

No. The redirects aren't needed with the Mediawiki search functionality or pipelinking features. --CharitwoTalk 13:39, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to jump in here, but now I'm kind of confused. I was working under the assumption that Smasher articles would be redirected to their new locations out of the Main namespace rather than simply deleted entirely. This seems in accordance with how the policy draft used to read (and, since this was the policy draft that was in place when discussion took place, I believe it is the only policy draft that we can presume has community support). Even though the search functionality may still yield accurate results, and one can pipelink to make links to Smasher articles easier to write, this doesn't change a simple usability aspect: who will ever link to Mew2King (either on this wiki, or externally) and not expect the Smasher page? (That particular article is still a redirect, but based on this discussion, I'm assuming it's not supposed to be.) I support the notion that someone whose Smasher name is "Mario" doesn't deserve a redirect (except from "Mario (smasher)"), but I don't understand why a non-existent page in the main namespace should be preferable to a redirect, especially when the subject of the article in question is completely unambiguous. Replacing a legitimate content page with the equivalent of a 404 is entirely unfriendly to visitors who are looking for specific information, and I think we should avoid it at all costs.
But perhaps this is a discussion that should take place somewhere else. --Kirby King 16:24, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Furthermore, I encourage you to read up on reasons for not deleting a redirect. --Sky (t · c · w) 03:46, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

X2i

I don't think that X2i deserved to be banned for a month for removing the content from the Super Smash Duel page. Before his ban, we were discussing the possibility of deleting that page. As its author, he originally defended it, but the conceded that we could delete it if we wanted to. FyreNWater banned him for removing the deletion tag from it because no one had gotten around to doing anything about it. I think that his blanking the page was a good faith attempt to delete the page and make up for his actions. I asked him about this on his talk page. I'll leave the decision up to you; I just thought I'd let you know the circumstances. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 22:08, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Also, on his talk page, he claims that it was an accident that he deleted the page. I don't know if I should believe this or not, but he was the author of the page. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 22:14, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Quite Strict Aren't We?

On everyone's sysop nomination, you're either neutral or you oppose, but you never support. Why? I thought the candidates for sysop had pretty convincing cases. What are you looking for in a sysop? - GalaxiaD (talk) 04:45, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Because we already have enough sysops, imo. So I'm looking for people that stand out. A lot of folks just want it just to "have it" --Charitwo 04:46, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Ah, so you're saying that a lot of people want that kind of power just to use it, eh? I see where you're coming from. - GalaxiaD (talk) 04:50, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Speedy Delete Template

Why did you delete the Speedy Deletion template? That is mighty helpful to have. I'm going to go ahead and restore it for now, beacuse some of the smash Wikiers are real confused about it not being there, including myself. If we really are going to get rid of the template, we should probably post some kind of message to the users. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 13:20, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Opps. That should really be renamed to Template:Speedy or Template:SDelete then, it got caught in the mix of deleting unused and deprecated templates that we don't need anymore because they were replaced with better ones or just haven't been used for a long time. --Charitwo 13:39, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, I tried to make is just Template:Speedy Delete, but someone pointed out that it is much easier to just type {{d}}. Also, that is what is used on all other wikis and on Wikipedia, so it's normal code. I made the main template under Template:Speedy Delete, and Template:d redirects to there. It should all be working smother now. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 00:52, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Cool, that should work. --Charitwo 00:53, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Custom/personal Templates

Hey I'm a bit confused about the personal/custom template rule. You see, there are these things called Word Bubbles. They are made to be used by people. They have a hard to remember code, so people make their own templates so all they have to type it {{name|text}}. Could this possibly be a loophole in the rule? Thanks for your time (Please reply on my talkpage), UberPhoeba b c 00:47, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

User:Shadowcrest/policy

As a sysop, I expect you to be interested in benefitting the community- and I wholeheartedly believe that the implementation of all of the proposed policies/other administration-related things listed on that page would benefit the wiki. It would be greatly appreciated if you would point out any issues you have with any of the things listed on that page, and whether or not you think any or all of them should be implemented, and if not, why not.

Of course, I realize you have a life and other things to attend to- I don't expect this to be completed overnight ;)

Whenever you get the chance, it would be great if you would comment on them.

Thanks, --Shadowcrest 01:53, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Shadowcrest. I think it would be a good idea for the community to comment on these pages, have you considered creating a forum topic? Community consensus would be needed to make site policy changes. --CharitwoTalk 01:58, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Of course- which is why I asked Clarinet Hawk for prominent usernames and notified the active sysops ;)

Removing talk page content

I noticed you told another user to not delete content from their user talk page unless they're archiving it. I'm not aware of any such policy, and since everything is in a publicly-accessible history anyway, I was wondering why you thought this policy should be enforced? --Kirby King 03:10, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

It's not a policy by any means, it's a general courtesy and a guideline, hammered into my head from being around so many different wikis. The only thing I flat out remove is people who troll after you revert their vandalism. But hey, it comes with the job. --CharitwoTalk 04:46, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

New admin-related implementations

In addition to the new policies implemented recently, I've also implemented an Admin noticeboard to provide a central location for admin-related requests/issues (as opposed to posting on an individual admin's talk page). I would like this page to be put into the default sidebar, and your comments on this would be appreciated. Sky disagrees though (we've been talking on IRC for ages). Additionally, I've set up a [[Template:Ban|ban template]] and a [[:Category:Candidates for banning]], which I would also like your thoughts on- KirbyKing and Sky disagree with the template (and by extension the category, since it's useless without the template). The template isn't really important thought- I just thought it might makes things a little easier on the sysops, though if you'd rather use the adminboard that's fine. Anyway, again any comments would be excellent. --Shadowcrest 00:24, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

I like IRC and I think a template and a category like that is silly. The admins here have enough common sense to know when to block, most of them anyway. Can't say the same thing for some of the ban reasons though, those will only encourage vandals... not mentioning any names. --CharitwoTalk 00:29, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
And furthermore, I don't think a non-sysop should be implementing policies of his own accord anyway, especially when only really like ONE person has replied to the talk page. You are an editor, focus on content please. --CharitwoTalk 00:35, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
...That is exactly why we need you are valuable. That was definitely one of the most elitist statements I've ever heard in my life, and I'm elitist on a daily basis. Honestly, I found that offensive. Please do not presume to tell me what parts of Smashwiki I should and should not contribute to. The possible new policies forum has been up for almost 3 weeks, and every active sysop (except 1 I can't remember the name of) was notified. I did not implement anything of my own accord.
"I think a template and a category like that is silly." Fine. I wish you had waited until I asked the other admins about it as well (I got sidetracked) to delete it, but like I already said, I'm focusing on the noticeboard. Which you ignored.
Please notice the 1RV page you just deleted was actually posted before the 3RR one was. Please undelete the page and wait for concensus before single-handedly deleting policies you don't agree with. This also applies to the blocking policy (and now deletion), which you have- again- changed without concensus. Even if you only ask the other admins and get a concensus anyway, that is about as unwiki as one can get. --Shadowcrest 00:49, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Your changes have no majority consensus. Even though all admins were notified, there is no community consensus for a mass implementation like this. Although there is no real reason to delete everything, what still exists can serve as guidelines, not policies. This community is about editing and content, NOT bureaucratic and common sense "policies". As guidelines, most of the stuff you created is ok, but our admins have the common sense to know most of this already. --CharitwoTalk 00:53, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Nothing I implemented has recieved even a word of dissupport. The only ones that were even mentioned as questionable were the RfA - not implemented - and YAV, which one person didn't like. One. Also not implemented. If I didn't think I didn't have community consensus, I wouldn't have done it. Everyone has had ample time to disagree with anything they wished. They haven't. I implemented them.
You fail to acknowledge the timing I allowed everyone to comment. Anyone who checks the forums would have seen it. I asked for dissent, and recieved none. Should I have waited for a majority of wiki users to post "good idea +1"? Maybe I should ask everyone if it's a good idea before I edit Peach.
Your argument is a double edged sword. If my edits didn't have consensus, yours most certainly did not. I am still requesting you undo your edits and undelete the 1RV page, and wait for the consensus you advocate before making edits like that. I would very much like to slip in a rude comment, but I can't. You see, it's a policy now.
"This community is about editing and content, NOT bureaucratic and common sense "policies"." ...And? What wikis aren't? Next time you find a bureaucratic-philosophy wiki, let me know. I'd like to read it. Don't even try and tell me you haven't seen everything those policies prohibit going on recently. If you do, you're either lying or you haven't paid much attention.
What reason is there at all to have those serve as guidelines and not policies? As everyone who posted agrees (except randall+YAV), all of those would benefit the community. --Shadowcrest 01:14, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
What is currently there is fine. It's not hurting anything, but it certainly wasn't needed anyway. Mostly common sense. I also appreciate it if you stop harassing me. Long-winded diatribes to attempt to prove a point for 90% of pages that still exist just irritate me. Go edit something and let me enjoy my weekend. --CharitwoTalk 01:19, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

It seems you deleted this page I created on the Smash Wiki, the reason being that it doesn't relate to Smash Bros. If you had read the article, you would know it has as much right to be there as Super Smash Flash. Just because it doesn't mention Smash in the title doesn't mean it isn't a smash game. It is a fangame with hand drawn graphics and a hard-worked engine. If you would be so kind as to restore the page I would be grateful. I chaed around before I added, I found the fangame category as well as several unfinished Smash tributes in there, and I do not see the purpose of it's deletion, as on many sites it is taken in higher regard than even SSF2. Please restore this page when you see this message, as I am sure you will see that it does belong where it was added. --Hoeloe

It would go on a fanon wiki, not this one. --CharitwoTalk 21:05, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Then why is SSF2 here? Why is there a fangames section? If fangames don't belong here, surely they don't either?

Those should probably be moved to a different wiki as well, but they have been around a while, I'm surprised I didn't come across them earlier this year. It probably got snuck in with the merge, feh. Lot of housekeeping still needing to be done. The only articles here should be about the Nintendo franchise. Not fanmade spinoffs. --CharitwoTalk 21:54, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
To that end, do you just want to get rid of those articles or do you want to try and get some kind of consensus. I have no problem getting rid of them; they just take up space. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 22:00, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, an ideal solution would be to move them to a different wiki, then delete them here. I don't remember if Wikia has a smash bros fanon or not. I'd have to check. --CharitwoTalk 22:02, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
There is one. I'm not on there much, so I don't know if they have the pages already, but the wiki does exist. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 22:08, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure I left a link for it on the Main Page's talk page, although it's probably in the last archive right now. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:11, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
I found it. supersmashbrosfanon --CharitwoTalk 22:17, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that's it, but it still won't help. While Flash games aren't part of the actual series, they still exist. That Wiki talks about games, characters, etc. that don't even exist in the real games or flash games. But hey, it's your call. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:20, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
I'll have to look around, but one thing is for certain, this wiki is only meant for the Nintendo Games. --CharitwoTalk 22:27, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
What about the Sonic and MGS games? Cheezperson {talk}stuff 22:38, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Now that I think about it, they should probably migrate to Gaming. Just because characters from other games are present in Smash Bros, doesn't mean we have to have articles about the actual game here with infoboxes and all the fancy stuff. --CharitwoTalk 22:39, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
If it's relevant to Smash Bros., it should be here. Cheezperson {talk}stuff 22:41, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Not an article about a game, no, it does not. Articles about the actual games these characters are from belong elsewhere. --CharitwoTalk 22:42, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
I think he means aspects from these games (such as music, cameos, background effects, etc.). MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:45, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
If it's inside the game (moves, characters, music, etc), then there can be an article. But articles about games themselves, don't belong. --CharitwoTalk 22:48, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
What about trophies? Cheezperson {talk}stuff 22:52, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Trophies are obtainable in the game, obviously. I am talking about articles about another video game that are non-nintendo. I'm not going to sit here and pick apart the entire game for you. --CharitwoTalk 22:54, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Didn't want you to. Just wanted to make sure that h=the trophies and in-game things were safe. I'm good with everything else going. Cheezperson {talk}stuff 22:57, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

KP

Hey Charitwo, can you temporarily unprotect KP's talk page? I need to let him know that an IP is vandalizing his smasher page. MarioGalaxy {talk} 19:14, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Um, OK, that was certainly creative. I hope that works. MarioGalaxy {talk} 19:19, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

I blocked the vandal and delivered the message. --CharitwoTalk 19:21, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

I saw. Thanks. I doubt it was "Sliq" (some Ganondorf player KP's brawled, who's probably holding some stupid grudge). MarioGalaxy {talk} 19:23, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Indeed. http://www.wikia.com/index.php?title=User_talk:Charitwo&curid=26864&diff=188217&oldid=188216 --CharitwoTalk 19:25, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Talk about pathetic. And I thought Cafinator said random things (I mean really, Fisher Price? Does this guy know how pathetic he sounds?). Anyway, KP will probably kill him (in Brawl) if he really is Sliq. MarioGalaxy {talk} 19:29, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Old stuff of merit

I found SmashWiki:Super Smash Bros. Brawl Launch Center and wasn't sure what to think. Some of the photoshopping is pretty good, so I wouldn't get rid of the photos. Nevertheless, much of the info is out of date and I think the whole thing needs a new name now that Brawl's been out a while. I think it's worth keeping, but probably needs a HUGE overhaul. What are your thoughts? {My name is Miles, and I approve this message.} 14:53, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

DBR

I don't understand why you deleted those pages. Yes, their name is offensive, but it's been censored in the articles. They're one of the best-ranked crews in NorCal with some of the most well-known combo videos. Deleting their stuff is like deleting Ken Hoang's page because it mentioned his Peach theory (which it incidentally no longer does). Silverdragon706/FyreNWater - (TC ) 20:18, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

It doesn't matter if their the best crew in the whole country, they should have a better and less offensive name. Regardless or not of whether it's censored. --CharitwoTalk 22:11, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
That's why they're DBR. I don't even think they use their unacronymed name anymore. Silverdragon706/FyreNWater - (TC ) 04:54, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Deleting Talk Page Redirects

This seems like a bit of a make-work project and doesn't serve much purpose. Talk page redirects are created automatically by the MediaWiki engine after a page move in order to account for all avenues of access to be opened for users who may have edited it before the move. For instance, I frequently type Talk:RJM into the search box to access my own talk page, even though it redirects to Smasher talk:RJM. --RJM Talk 21:20, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Talk page redirects are not useful 90% of the time. Redirects themselves that are not talk pages are useful because they both 1) function for search purposes (like for example if an article's title was expanded Wii > Nintendo Wii. But Talk:Wii would not be useful because it's not practical to keep it because people do not search talk pages, your smasher talk one is a conveinence for you, but might not be for the rest of the community. --CharitwoTalk 22:11, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Furthermore, you're a horrible sysop anyway. I can honestly say I prefer the company of just about every sysop that came with the merge except you. If you don't like the way a wiki works, nobody is forcing you to stay. Go play and stop stressing yourself out. You're going to be one of those people that has a heart attack before they're forty. --CharitwoTalk 22:30, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Hey, fuck you. Even though most people realize that it's a flawed way of thinking, first impressions still count for a lot and the first impression that all of you Wikia staff members and community members have of me is a loud and angry protest about the merge which was directed specifically at Gideon, who seems to be the one who made the decision. It's like this entire project that I had been heavily involved in and cared vehemently for suddenly blew up in my face and now the entire community has this backlash against both me and the ideas that used to steer the course of SmashWiki's future. --RJM Talk 05:32, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Both of you need to cool down. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 04:05, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
