(→‎Super Smash Bros. Melee: Added Hax controversy. Rest of the melee tournament needs to still be added. Really tried to find the facebook poll to get numbers but either it's deleted or it's in Spanish. I know it exists as many comments on twitter mentioned it and criticized it. Also for the record here just in case someone adds to the Hax controversy, this tournament still counts for rankings as the new rule for tournaments with banned players not counting for rankings isn't retroactive.)

However, SHADIC then lost to Sonix 2-3 in their runback from {{Trn|The Luminosity Invitational}}, who then ran though Gackt to meet ShinyMark in Grand Finals and was able to reset the bracket 3-1; however, ShinyMark was able to prevail and defeat Sonix in a close game 5 set that went to time, parrying a forward smash in the final seconds of the last game that would have likely given Sonix the win instead, cursing Sonix with yet another 2nd-place finish at a major. ShinyMark became the first Pikachu player since {{Sm|ESAM}} to win a major and supermajor and the first Central American player to win a major, breaking the "pre-local" curse along the way as he also won the S Factor pre-local. S Factor 11 was a Super Smash Bros. Melee regional and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate supermajor held in Benito Juárez, Mexico City from July 13th-14th, 2024. It was the first tournament in the series to have the "S Factor" name, with the name change being the result of the Nintendo Community Tournament Guidelines. This tournament was notable for its large prize pool, being at 1,000,000 MXN total with half of it going to Ultimate, and its free entrants fee despite the large prize pool.

An icon for denoting incomplete things.

S Factor TOs, to some controversy, decided to make a Facebook poll for the Mexican community to decide if the banned player Hax could attend, with unknown numbers the poll was in favor of Hax attendance, in which this was the only tournament Hax would attend that year.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

At 816 entrants, this is currently the largest singles Smash event in Mexico.

This event saw a cinderella run from #51 Many, who not only outplaced his seed significantly, but was also able to upset several notable players, including #14 seed MuteAce 3-2 (upset factor 4), #17 seed Skyjay 3-1, and #11 seed MkLeo (upset factor 5) to make top 8, his first-ever top 8 at a major-level tournament.

On the other hand, the event saw a slew of upsets, leading many international players to underperform. MuteAce was eventually eliminated at 49th after losing 2-3 to #59 seed Duplex (upset factor 4), his worst placement of the season. Other international players who underperformed include #6 seed Zomba, who lost to #11 seed MkLeo 0-3 and #21 seed Big D 2-3 (upset factor 4) to place 17th; #7 seed Asimo, who lost to #26 seed Guilheww 1-3 (upset factor 4) in Winner's to ultimately place 13th; #8 seed Glutonny, who lost to #25 seed Capitancito 0-3 and #30 seed AndresFn 0-3 (both upset factor 4) to place 25th; #12 seed Lima, who lost to #32 seed SuperDog 0-3 (upset factor 3) in Loser's to place 17th; and #13 seed Sisqui, who lost to #52 seed Nair^ 2-3 (upset factor 4) in Winner's to ultimately place 33rd. In addition, #1 seed Sparg0 was upset by #17 seed Cosmos 2-3 (upset factor 8) and #2 seed Sonix lost to #15 seed ShinyMark (upset factor 6); however, both were able to make it into top 8 on the Loser's side, with Sparg0 defeating MkLeo, tying up their record for the season. All-in-all, only one top 8 seed entered top 8 in Winner's Finals: #5 seed SHADIC. Finally, this tournament marked the first time a Kirby player placed top 16 at a major/supermajor, with Guilheww ultimately placing 13th, as well as the first time Cosmos made top 8 at a major since KOWLOON 5.

In top 8, #9 seed Gackt defeated SHADIC to make Winner's Finals, the third time he had made it into such a position at a major, while ShinyMark easily cleaned up Many 3-0 to meet Gackt in Winner's Finals, where he defeated him 3-0 to move on to Grand Finals. On the Loser's side, SHADIC defeated Sparg0 for the first time 3-2 in a runback from Collision 2024, which included a high-percent three-stock comeback in game 4, leaving the top 4 without a Mexican representative. However, SHADIC then lost to Sonix 2-3 in their runback from The Luminosity Invitational, who then ran though Gackt to meet ShinyMark in Grand Finals and was able to reset the bracket 3-1; however, ShinyMark was able to prevail and defeat Sonix in a close game 5 set that went to time, parrying a forward smash in the final seconds of the last game that would have likely given Sonix the win instead, cursing Sonix with yet another 2nd-place finish at a major. ShinyMark became the first Pikachu player since ESAM to win a major and supermajor and the first Central American player to win a major, breaking the "pre-local" curse along the way as he also won the S Factor pre-local. In addition, he was the second of three new major winners in the final weekend of the LumiRank 2024.1 season.
