2GGT: KTAR Saga was a super regional Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament that was held at the eSports Arena center in Santa Ana, California on July 23rd, 2016. After the last KTAR event, KTAR XVIII following Keitaro's moving out to California for his job at Counter Logic Gaming, he arranged one last KTAR-related event with Champ as part of the 2GGT series. Over 20 smashers from out-of-state traveled to compete, including KTAR regulars Vinnie, False, DKwill, Marss, Mr.E, Pugwest, and players from other regions such as MVD, Pink Fresh, and FOW. Smashers from other countries also participated, namely Mr. R, Alphicans, 2ManyCooks, Captain L, cyve, and Eddy.
2GGT: KTAR became the largest one day tournament in Smash history with 414 entrants, although it was eventually surpassed by 2GG: Breakthrough with 432 entrants.
