Zackray (ザクレイ) is an Ultimate Joker and R.O.B. player from Tokyo, Japan. He is considered to be the best Joker player in the world after MkLeo dropped the character and one of the two best R.O.B. players in the world alongside Zomba. He was also one of the best Wario, Mr. Game & Watch, and Mario players in the world prior to dropping the characters, and the best Wolf player in the world when he mained the character. With his success in his home country and at the international level including 1st place finishes at EGS Cup 2, Umebura SP 7, Sumabato SP 8, Sumabato SP 9, EGS Cup 3, Sumabato SP 12, Maesuma TOP 2, Eastern Powerhouse Invitational FINAL and most notably The Big House 9, he was widely considered to be the best player in Japan from 2019-2020. He is currently ranked 1st on the Experimental Smash Player Rankings, 2nd on OrionRank Ultimate: Eclipse Japan, 5th on Ultimate: Eclipse, and 7th on the Fall 2019 PGRU; he was also ranked 1st on the discontinued Japan Player Rankings.
Zackray (ザクレイ) is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player from Tokyo, Kantō, Japan, considered one of the greatest Japanese Ultimate players of all-time, as well as the country's best player in the early metagame. He was considered Ultimates first prodigy, winning his first major, Umebura SP 2, at the age of 16. He has since many other majors and is one of three players (alongside Tea and Glutonny) with a major win in each of Ultimates superregions, having also won The Big House 9 in North America and Ultimate WANTED 4 in Europe. Although he currently focuses on Pit and Dark Pit, he is known for his mastery over many characters and his ability to quickly pick up new characters, playing high-level tournaments with more than 20 different characters and winning majors with Wolf, Joker, R.O.B., and Sora. He is the greatest Pit, Dark Pit, and Wolf player of all-time, as well as one of the best Joker and R.O.B. players of all time. In addition, he remains the only player to win majors with solo-Wolf and Sora.

Zackray is known for his mastery of many characters and his ability to quickly pick up new characters. He mained Wolf before switching to (mostly) co-maining R.O.B. and Joker, and has already played high-level tournaments with more than 20 different characters. This gives him many options when it comes to counterpicking characters; an example of this can be seen when he switched from Sonic to Joker to pull off a reverse 3-0 against Maister at The Big House 9. He notably won The Big House 9 using seven different characters and won at least a game with five of them.
Prior to Ultimate, Zackray had a brief yet noteworthy career in forwiiu, co-maining Corrin and Bayonetta while maintaining Marth as a secondary. He was considered the biggest rising star towards the end of the game's lifespan, with his victories at Sumabato 27 and Sumabato Smash 4 Final leading many to consider him one of the best players in Japan despite his short tenure in the game compared to other players. He was ranked 88th on the Panda Global Rankings 100 and was the youngest player ranked on the list.

In SSB4, Zackray was a Corrin and Bayonetta main who also used Marth as a secondary. He was considered the best Corrin player in Japan and has taken sets off of top players such as KEN, Abadango, Kirihara, Tsu, Nietono, Raito, HIKARU, and Atelier. He is currently ranked 8th on the JAPAN Power Rankings and 88th on the Panda Global Rankings 100.
On December 6th, 2018, Zackray announced his new sponsor GameWith. GameWith merged with DetonatioN Gaming to form DetonatioN FocusMe on December 22nd, 2022, signing Zackray in the process.

On December 6th, 2018, Zackray announced his new sponsor GameWith.
Playstyle
Zackray is able to play unconventionally with normally considered passive characters, such as R.O.B., aggressively searching through weaknesses in an opponent’s mindset, yet able to maintain a calm and calculating stance throughout sets. In neutral situations, he patiently waits for the opponent to move and counterattack at the right opportunity. Zackray is also known for picking up many characters for his adaptation to certain matchups as well as downloading data on his opponent's playstyles. He did this to Maister by going Sonic for the first 2 games of the set in The Big House 9, and by reverse 3-0ing him by going back to Joker.

Zackray (ザクレイ) is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player from Tokyo, Kantō, Japan, considered one of the greatest Japanese Ultimate players of all-time, as well as the country's best player in the early metagame. He was considered Ultimate's first prodigy, winning his first major, Umebura SP 2, at the age of 16. He has since many other majors and is one of three players (alongside Tea and Glutonny) with a major win in each of Ultimate's superregions, having also won The Big House 9 in North America and Ultimate WANTED 4 in Europe.

Prior to Ultimate, Zackray had a brief yet noteworthy career in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, co-maining Corrin and Bayonetta while maintaining Marth as a secondary.

On December 6th, 2018, Zackray announced his new sponsor GameWith.[1] GameWith merged with DetonatioN Gaming to form DetonatioN FocusMe on December 22nd, 2022, signing Zackray in the process.[2]

Playstyle[edit]

Trivia[edit]

 • Zackray is often nicknamed to be "Mr. Kagaribi" in the English community due to him making top 8 at all Kagaribi's he's attended since Kagaribi 1, while only missing attendance from Kagaribi 7 and Kagaribi 8, as well as having won 2 of them. This also notably includes Kowloon 12 with Kagaribi, which was a partnership between Kowloon and the Kagaribi series.
