Shikoku is a Smash region in Japan, and is the fourth largest of the five main Japanese islands. It borders the Chūgoku region, and as such many players also regularly play in the neighboring Okayama prefecture.
Shikoku is considered the youngest Smash region in Japan, as it only began developing during the Smash 4 era, with their main tournament series being Himebra. As such, only a few notable players during Smash 4 came from that region, including Ginko, who ranked as high as 54th on the JAPAN Power Rankings. However, the scene grew significantly during Ultimate after several noteworthy locals were founded during this time, and has since seen several players achieve recognition at a global scale, the most notable players being Asimo (prior to his move to Chūgoku) and Yaura.
