==Dual mains== | |||
I noticed this a while ago and I believe I've nudged you on this at least twice on Discord, but please don't just take whatever character is listed as a "main" in a player's Infobox and put it into the tournament results table; more specifically if a player is listed with two mains in the infobox, don't just put both without taking a look at tournament vods or Twitter, because in many cases they'd either just use one of the characters or it's listed wrong on the infobox. CookiesCreme 13:29, August 13, 2022 (EDT)
While I'm on that, some of the characters you've put on Super Smash Con 2022 are, for a lack of better words, suspicious. For example, Double Meta Knight has been banned in Brawl, so there's no way Pelca and Cody both used Meta Knight. I don't know whether double Cloud is also banned in Smash 4, but nevertheless I'm sure Pelca didn't use Cloud at all. Finally, the characters for ANTIPOP and Alternis in Ultimate doubles is listed wrong, as noted here, and while I can understand the Alternis mistake (you had it linked to the wrong player), I don't see where you got Brawler for ANTIPOP.
It's perfectly fine to make logical assumptions as to what characters someone has played, usually based off of what's noted on Twitter, but be careful when you do that, especially for Ultimate, where players have consistently changed who they play. CookiesCreme 15:08, August 13, 2022 (EDT)
Words for clarification...
*For the ANTIPOP... I have searched up the name used in the PGstats. Which caused me to get the Mii Brawler from ANTIPOP which was wrong. And searched up ANTIPOP's Twitter from his start.gg account which isn't the existing one.
*I've forgotten the Double Meta Knights rule and the Double Cloud, so yeah, it was obviously my mistake. I've never ever worked on the Super Smash Con tournaments on a wiki page, especially when this is my first one working on one.

- I haven't had much time to deal with all the Ultimate Naifu War pages, but eventually I believe it will get one. CookiesCreme 20:50, April 17, 2020 (EDT)
Howplayz After what I saw from the Talk: Tier List, I've been doing much research on trying to make a tier list like the others with the calculations and the parts of what the new tier list would of been like if it wouldn't been for Smashboards to not make a official new Ultimate Tier List. So if this is the place for the new tier list than here ya go. https://docs.google.com/document/d/12vvhR8yk0-zYTMx32Huvg9LxoiuyWb3THYpv2_e3j0M/edit I did put this on the talk tier list which you can edit with you permission if possible. I'm just not sure if there is another way to do the exact thing like my own tier list such as https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_E8EJm6QOMs1cbXDlhcz7Tza8MqyZU9gZVJIa25T2qo/edit because they have more advanced pros for that one. If there's any way to create or fix my tier list or others if possible, you can tell me. Just wanted to be similar to the others for like same exact results. April 23, 2020 14:03 (PST)
Howplayz Is there going to be a P+ 2.11 wiki page to it? If so, can I try to make it, or is there already one there? Howplayz (talk) 13:59, April 29, 2020 (EDT)

SW:SOCK[edit]
Hello, I had just discovered a user using your same IP address that was created after your previous block. Sockpuppetry is not allowed on SmashWiki, especially to circumvent blocks. Normally I would block someone for this, but considering your block's no longer active, I'm just going to let you off with a warning. Don't create any other accounts. User page[edit]
A few things:
- Remember to use the "show preview" button. That way you can see what the page will look like without it showing up in Special:RecentChanges.
- I don't think the smasher infobox supports tabbers. You may be restricted to the one image.
- Also you don't need to use SSBU or SSB4 for your mains/other characters, the template takes care of that. It may also be restricted to one fighter per parameter.
- You are missing a closing square bracket for your tier list link header. However it will link to a page that doesn't exist.

- Thank You! CanvasK —Preceding unsigned comment added by Howplayz (talk • contribs) 23:37, April 25, 2020 (EDT)
- Correction on my second point, you can have more than one fighter in a parameter but only with "moremain" or "moreother" parameters, and you must also have a "main" or "other" parameter respectively before you can use "more".
- And don't forget to sign your comments with ~~~~. --CanvasK (talk) 23:41, April 25, 2020 (EDT)

My Tier List[edit]
Hi Howplayz. I am glad you noticed my error on my tier list subpage. Here is the link to the new tier list: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1moqz3JVrRBBPlBXa4FYWPj6SjjEDvqnKYOoK7RzX5U0/edit?usp=sharing. I am looking foward to your response and ask me on my talk page for any errors. S3AHAWK (Talk) 23:04, April 26, 2020 (EDT)
- There are lots of changes that needs to be fixed. Anyhow, what tier is it going to be, for example like is B tier mid or high tier? (Talk) 23:05, April 26, peep (PST)
I think that's it for the changes! Remember if look at the patches for 8.0.0 (if you have seen patches) or any competitive plays for top players so you can get the gist of tier list. Also moves to that combo. Howplayz (talk) 14:04, April 29, 2020 (EDT)
That vandal you reported...[edit]
...is actually not a vandal. He was just changing sans to excluding (which both mean the same thing). That IP didn’t do anything wrong. SonDaniel (talk page) 14:11, May 25, 2020 (EDT)
I knew this will come but my bad my mistake. It’s okay I’ll try to do something about this. Thank you for reminding me! Howplayz (talk) 14:34, May 25, 2020 (EDT)
- Oh, you don’t need to do anything! It’s alright! (Also, when replying, please indent your comment with a colon.) SonDaniel (talk page) 15:38, May 26, 2020 (EDT)
User Images[edit]
When you upload images that you use on your user space make sure to include . This helps keeps things organized and helps keeps the (already large) number of uncategorized files down. --CanvasK (talk) 19:26, June 1, 2020 (EDT)
- I'll make sure I'll try to fix that. Thank you for reminding me. I just kind if feel weird for a moment what happened to the talk page as it was all glitchy. HowplayzPrepare Yourself

Tourneys[edit]
I’m gonna give you a short reminder that when you add results to a player on a tourney page, I recommend addIng the characters they used. I would also like to offer an apology for fricking up some of the tournament results, I just jumped the gun a lot. S3AHAWK (talk) 21:28, August 14, 2020 (EDT)
Yeah I know that, but the smash.gg page wasn't showing up characters that they used to play which 1 makes me hard to know what characters they even used. HowPlayz 18:32 August 14, 2020 (EDT)

Since undo only reverts one edit...[edit]
...There is a way to revert multiple edits despite you are not a rollbacker because there were multiple edits on Dr. Marios page. 1st is you go to the edit "history" of the page on what edits you want to "rollback". 2nd, find the earliest edit before the vandal edit. 3rd, click "edit" and type a summary, and click done at the bottom. Because of this, you performed Pseudo-rollback. Hope this helps. S3AHAWK The Spooky One 16:48, October 5, 2020 (EDT)
Thank you for making a bit of advice about this. Although I'm not really or necessary applying for rollback now, using this to my advantage even if I'm not one, can help me significantly as a normal auto-confirmed user. Howplayz 19:54, October 5, 2020 (EDT)
- I believe you can undo multiple edits on desktop if the edits are not too far apart by time. But the edit summary wouldn't show undid edit anyways. Edit:Via RecentChanges only I think...?

Five Days of Melee[edit]
1. Rishi's Jungle Jam is a casual side event that should never be added to players' pages for tournament results.
2. Even though there were three different brackets, you simply listed the tournaments on players' pages as "Five Days of Melee" instead of also adding "(Europe)", "(North America East)", or "(North America West)". Considering the fact that these are all three different brackets, a distinction is absolutely necessary. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 02:13, December 21, 2020 (EST)
How to make tier list images bigger?[edit]
I looked at your userpage after you replied to my question about Salem. I liked the format for your tier list so I copied the format to make my own (hope you don't mind). How do you make the character images bigger? I keep trying different things like adding .20px but it always ends up funky. SacredFire37 (talk) 14:30, March 24, 2021 (EDT)
I don't think you can change their format of the character images, even if it looks funky, it'll always stay at .20px. I'm rather new to editing tier lists unless there is a way to change it. Howplayz 14:44, March 24, 2021 (EDT)
The tier lists that are in the tier list page have bigger images. Sadly, the format isn't available. SacredFire37 (talk) 15:23, March 24, 2021 (EDT)
- The tier list page and Howplayz's uses the same format. The templates used to make the tier lists are hard-coded to make the images 40x40px. Based on the edit log you are on mobile and therefore have a small screen. Because of the sheer number of fighters, the tier list is very wide and images will shrink themselves to fit on smaller screens (even if it makes them microscopic). Some workarounds are: 1, set a "min-width" in the style part of the table, needs to be large (say 1300px) and I'm not sure how well it works on mobile; 2, re-create the templates to include a size option, but as mentioned the images will still shrink and that is a lot of effort; 3, make the table thinner by splitting some tiers in half and putting them on different rows. --CanvasK (talk) 17:48, March 24, 2021 (EDT)
Ok I'll give that a try. Thank you btw. SacredFire37 (talk) 18:04, March 24, 2021 (EDT)

Dual mains[edit]
I noticed this a while ago and I believe I've nudged you on this at least twice on Discord, but please don't just take whatever character is listed as a "main" in a player's Infobox and put it into the tournament results table; more specifically if a player is listed with two mains in the infobox, don't just put both without taking a look at tournament vods or Twitter, because in many cases they'd either just use one of the characters or it's listed wrong on the infobox.
- For the ANTIPOP... I have searched up the name used in the PGstats. Which caused me to get the Mii Brawler from ANTIPOP which was wrong. And searched up ANTIPOP's Twitter from his start.gg account which isn't the existing one.
