Hitbox visualization showing Peach's pummel.

Overview[edit]

Also known as Grab Toad Punch, Peach interestingly does not directly strike her opponent unlike in previous Smash titles (where she kicked them in the leg), but instead has Toad jab the opponent with his fist for her. The move's speed and damage output is average overall.

If the opponent is at a high percentage, Peach can take advantage of pummelling which can be followed up with her throwing the opponent off-stage (forward throw if facing towards the edge of the stage, back throw if looking away from the edge of the stage). If Peach is facing towards the edge of the stage, Peach can continue pummelling until the opponent breaks free from the grab.

Update History[edit]

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 8.0.0

  • Buff Pummel has a larger hitbox (4.5u → 5.5u) that is placed further horizontally (Z offset: 5.8u → 6.8u), allowing it to connect more consistently.
