B-Run got Super Smash Bros. for the N64 on the day it launched and played it avidly with his brothers at their home in Waldorf, MD. He played Ness and Pikachu and was generally the best 1v1 player in the FLW crew for much of its history. When the GameCube launched with Melee, M3D picked up a copy and brought it home, which B-Run played with him, along with their other brother Jump20X6 and other friends in the crew. For Melee, B-Run picked Young Link as his primary character.

B-Run actually discovered Smashboards through spending time on the GameFAQs messageboards and introduced the rest of the group to the site. While he was unable to attend the first event the crew put on, the original DC Super Smash, he actively helped with the other events they put on in the future.

B-Run finished in the top 20 at his very first tournament, H2YL's Live or Die in the summer of 2003. He exclusively used Young Link in the tournament and impressed everyone using a character most considered to not be tournament viable. He then placed in the top 20 in every local event he attended from then on, including a top 20 finish at DCSS #3, where he eliminated Husband, the future MLG Professional from the crew Team Ben. B-Run attended the very first MLG Smash event in Chicago of 2004, helping his brother M3D run the event and then returned to the midwest in the summer of 2005 for FC3, where he advanced through three pool play rounds and defeated Wes' Samus using Young Link. Due to college and work restrictions, B-Run stopped attending smash tournaments in 2006 but may make a return when the new title comes out for the Wii.

Young Link Play
B-Run has been largely overshadowed by Caveman and ChuDat's Young Link play, but many forget he was the first major Young Link player to receive any credit in the Smash community. He is credited to initially discovering the Reverse Angle Boomerang toss with Young Link, where the boomerang can be thrown so that it returns with specific vectors which other attacks cannot obtain. In a serious Smash Back Room discussion about Young Link, B-Run defended the effectiveness of the reverse angle boomerang before his appearance at MLG Chicago against a small group of naysayers. After his solid performance in Chicago and defeating Camper Bob in a match utilitizing the trick however, it was recognized as a legitimate tactic to make Young Link much more viable than previously thought.

Trivia
• Originally known as Smash Ace because he was often called "Ace" by a few friends and family members, he had his name changed to B-Run to reflect his childhood nickname. His father called him B-Run after the method for making Mario run faster in the original NES game and his habit as a child to be in constant motion.
• Neo is often noted for having a negative attitude towards B-Run after he posted in the DCSS#2 results thread and told Neo to "forget Roy."
