The only evidence I can find of English Roy is this: https://twitter.com/fhyrlucario/status/1058360448079282178?s=21
The audio of this clip is faint, but if you listen closely to the 0:09-0:13 marks you can hear Roy.

English Dub Highly Likely?[edit]

Since Marth is getting English dubbed (props to Yuri Lowenthal) and we haven't heard Roy's voicelines at all across the snippets of information we currently have on him, it's quite possible that he's getting dubbed as well. You can consider this speculation, but it's very likely that a Roy with Ray Chase's voice will be revealed in the coming months, if not on-release. Agree or disagree? Maybe preemptive article addition possible? Something to consider. --Adventuretime1 (talk) 21:10, 15 September 2018 (EDT)

It's still speculation nonetheless. When we have concrete information that he speaks English, then we'll add it. SugarCookie420 (talk) 21:14, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
It's almost certain that he will get an English voice. But we don't know who it will be. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 21:33, 15 September 2018 (EDT)

Roy Icon[edit]

I have no idea if this is the right way to do this, but can someone make an icon for SSBU Roy in the Brawl style? Roy's Up Taunt[edit]

I found there is 2 instances where Roy lifts his sword (more precisely, the Binding Blade). The first is his overworld map sprite animation as a Great Lord (Master Lord in the sprite sheet) and in a cutscene (I believe is only available in the Sound Test) when he obtains the Binding Blade albeit you could say he is barely lifting it up compared with his more energetic animation in Smash. Roy's sudden decline[edit]

Roy's decline is not due to his inverse tipper nor his somewhat exploitable recovery. The main reason for his decline is the changing Metagame to a more campy meta.

In addition to this, Fighters Pass 2 is also a key part in Roy's decline too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.225.193.85 (talkcontribs) 15:21, August 1, 2024 (EDT)
