*Between [[Super Smash Bros. Melee]] and [[Super Smash Bros. Instead, in this last co-op event with an assigned character, P1 is a [[starter character]] from the universe ([[Star Fox]]) which is Fox; and P2 is an [[unlockable character]] who is able to be unlocked first which is Falco.  Despite the fact that Wolf is the last unlockable character most people will unlock; he is the opponent in this co-op event (and none of the two players are him).
