The King Strikes Back is a single-player event match in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The player controls King Dedede, and must defeat Kirby in a 150 HP battle.
Progression
This event is unlocked by clearing The Big 7650!. Completing the event unlocks the right and down paths.
- Right path: Awards 500G. Leads to Fire-Type Frenzy.
- Down path: Awards the Doc Louis trophy. Leads to Family Ties.
Completing the event without taking any damage awards a Smash Ball Clinger Hammer equipment.

- The music used in this event, King Dedede's Theme, normally plays on Halberd, rather than Boxing Ring.
