==Trivia==
*This event could be a reference of the fact that in ''[[EarthBound]]'', Ness watched various shows, most notably those of the Runaway Five. The selection of ''[[List of SSBB Music (Animal Crossing series)#K.K. Slider's Performance|Rockin' K.K.]]'' as the musical track for this match may also be a reference to one of two things. It may reference {{s|wikibound|PSI Rockin}}, the offensive PSI move unique to Ness in ''EarthBound''. Alternatively, it could be a a nod to the fact that both ''Rockin' K.K.'' as well as a recurring battle theme in ''Mother'' and ''EarthBound'' are based on the song {{s|wikipedia|Johnny B. Goode}}''.
