Smashfest was an event held at Best Buys across Canada and the United States. It was held on June 11th 2014 from 4pm-9pm and June 14th 2014 from 12pm-5pm. The event gave players a chance to play both the Wii U and 3DS versions of [[Super Smash Bros. 4]]. Limited edition gold colored coins were distributed to the first few players in line at each event, and pins were given to players who participated in the 2 minute timed matches on the Wii U version.
