Pit (SSB4)

Pit (ピット, Pitto) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. Aside from general graphical enhancements, he sports the animesque look he had in Kid Icarus: Uprising. He has additionally been shown to have some new moves based on the weapons he wields in Uprising.

Confirmed information

  • Pit has a new attack in the Upperdash Arm, expected to be a side special move, which is supported by the fact that the Angel Ring has yet to be seen, and the fact that it has been used both in air, and on the ground. • Pit now uses the Guardian Orbitars to create two transparent shields. Although it has not been explicitly stated, it has been implied that this move replaces the Mirror Shield Down Special move he used in Brawl, as Pit crouched before using the move in the E3 Developer Direct video. Pit is shown equipping the Mirror Shield during his new Final Smash, the Three Sacred Treasures, which seems to further suggest that he will not use it in his standard moveset.
  • Pit's pose when charging and firing Palutena's Arrow has been slightly altered to look sharper.
  • Pit has a new up special move called the Power of Flight, which involves Pit charging up briefly, before flying far in a straight direction.

    • Neutral attack
    • Neutral aerial
