Gliding over the edge

Meta Knight can glide straight over any edge without grabbing it. This can be used for mindgames or to simply approach the opponent from an offstage position quicker. Notice how Kakera (white MK) glides straight at the edge and doesn't grab it, and doesn't even have to hold down to go over it.

To perform this technique, start a glide, glide down a bit so Meta Knight can go up, and then, instead of holding up on the control stick to glide upwards, tilt and hold the control stick diagonally down and in the opposite direction of which Meta Knight is gliding (if gliding towards the left ledge, tilt and hold the control stick diagonally down and left, and if gliding towards the right ledge, tilt and hold the control stick diagonally down and right). If done correctly, Meta Knight should glide right up at the ledge and over without grabbing it.
