The super death jump is a type of superjump that occurs in Stamina Mode. If a character's HP is reduced to 0 while receiving momentum from a special move (such as various up specials), the character will not stop, and instead continue flying along their current trajectory. Usually, this results in being flung rather high (as most relevant moves throw the user upwards). The timing required is typically very precise - a simple way of accomplishing the jump is to use the flower effect, then using the relevant special move at the correct time.
Characters capable of performing the super death jump
- Mario - Super Jump Punch
- Luigi - Super Jump Punch
- Ganondorf - Dark Dive (surprisingly high)
- Samus - Screw Attack
- Kirby - Final Cutter (difficult to time, one of the highest)
- Meta Knight - Shuttle Loop (difficult to time, one of the highest)
- King Dedede - Super Dedede Jump
- Wolf - Wolf Flash (very difficult to time, diagonal trajectory)
- Captain Falcon - Falcon Dive
- Pikachu - Quick Attack (one of the highest)
- Charizard - Fly
- Lucario - Extremespeed
- Marth - Dolphin Slash (second highest jump)
- Ike - Aether (very difficult to time, is by far the highest jump, more than twice as high as Marth's, guaranteed to exceed the upper blast line and beyond)
- Mr. Game & Watch - Fire
