In the Japanese version of SSB, Fox, Kirby,Yoshi Jigglypuff and Donkey Kong have the ability to turn slide, a technique also known as momentum sliding. This technique is similar to the Teleport as well as the Kirby Cutter slide glitch in both games.
Performing the technique
- Dash forward
- Skid (turning animation out of Dash)
- During skid, flick the control stick back to neutral during certain frames of the animation (frames vary depending on character)
- You will see your character turn and slide the opposite direction.
Distances
- DK has the furthest distance, traveling 3/4 the length of Dreamland.
- Jigglpyuff is the easiest to do with the technique and travels 1/2 the length of Dreamland.
- Kirby and Fox each travel around 1/4 the length of Dreamland.
- Yoshi travels a bit less than this.
