Rumble is a setting in Super Smash Bros. Brawl where a controllers vibration can be set to either on or off. All controls can have rumble set to "on" except the Classic Controller which has only an "off" rumble option due to having no vibrating mechanics within it. Controllers can have the rumble set to "off" so no controller in that control port or wireless connection will rumble when ever being hit or being KO'ed. Rumble is a setting in Super Smash Bros. Brawl where the controller vibration of the Wii Remote or GameCube Controller can be set to either on or off (the Classic Controller and Nunchuk have no vibrating mechanics within them - although the Wii Remote+Nunchuk control scheme can be set for the Wii Remote only) generally or for a specific Name.

Controllers set to "off" will consequently not vibrate when the character is hit or KO'd.
