The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. Not to be confused with the Red Koopa Shell.

The Red Shell is a throwing item that rolls in random directions after thrown, it will actively hunt out the nearest player, even the character that originally used it. Note that in Super Smash Bros., both the Red and Green Shell types are categorized together and called just "Shell". Interestingly, the Red Shell does not appear in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

  • It will slide around when jumping on or attacking it.
  • Direct smash throw does 17% damage.
  • Tap A throw does 14% damage.
  • While rolling does 9% damage.
  • When dropped does 15% damage.
  • If reflecting it with Fox/Falco, Mewtwo's Confusion, Zelda's Nayru's Love or using Mario/Dr.Mario cape/sheet, damage and duration will increase. The shell can only be deflected five times before the character experiences a "shield break" and they become stunned and immobile.
  • Hits even while ledge hanging.
