The first EarthBound newcomer, Lucas is the main character of MOTHER 3, the sequel to EarthBound released only in Japan. How Lucas fights in SSBB--aside from utilizing some sort of PSI electricity--remains to be seen, but it is commented that his fighting prowess may even surpass Ness.
