All-Star Semifinal Regulars is the 29th event match in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The player chooses any character to fight as and is put against 4 fighters, each of which had to be unlocked in Super Smash Bros. You fight 2 at a time and there is also a small delay each time you KO an opponent. Use this time to KO the other opponent to avoid it being 2-on-1.
Strategies
To get the first kill quickly, choose a character with a powerful spike that is easy to time (Ness, ROB, Ike). Next hit the spinning bottom boxes. Now jump and spike in midair where the characters will drop from. If the boxes are still spinning the character will fly to their doom. If done to perfection, this can be used upon all the characters for record time finish.
Also, any characters with ranged grabs like Olimar, Link, Samus, Lucas etc. with strong back throws can stand on the right-hand of the stage on the slope and grab a foe as they approach and lob them to the right over the blast line. You might need a few tries to determine how far away from the blast line you can stand before you KO the opponents.
Also bear in mind that the blast line on the left hand side is deceptively close. Using powerful smashes and throws to launch your enemies off to the left can also lead to reasonably easy KO's. You must also remember that you have two lives so don't get worked up about losing one of them.
Trivia
- The song used in this event is Opening (Super Smash Bros. Melee), which normally plays on Final Destination.
