The United States is a country located in North America. For competitive Smash purposes, it is often further split into 18 regions:

• Alaska
• Carolinas, which includes North Carolina and South Carolina
• Florida
• Georgia
• Hawaii
• MD/VA, which includes Maryland, Virginia, DC, Delaware and West Virginia
• Mid-South, which includes Arkansas, southern Kansas, southern Missouri, and Oklahoma
• Midwest, which includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, northern Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, northern Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, west Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Wisconsin
• New England, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont
• NorCal
• Pacific Northwest, which includes British Columbia (Canada), Oregon, Washington
• Rocky Mountains, which includes Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming
• SoCal
• Southeast, which includes Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee
• Southwest, which includes Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah
• Texas
• Tristate, which includes New Jersey, southeast New York, east Pennsylvania
• Upstate New York

In addition, Puerto Rico is a United States territory, however in Smash the region is generally considered to be part of the Caribbean.
