The tournament featured singles, doubles, a low tier bracket, draft crews, and a "YOLO" bracket. It was the first major tournament to utilize a waterfall bracket structure in singles, which has since become standard for major Smash 64 tournaments. Alvin, a top Smash 64 player from Peru, was flown out to the event. The team behind The 64 Story came out to the event to record a mini documentary of the tournament.

- The Low Tier bracket was sponsored and presented by eSportsChairs. The company provided $100, $50, and $25 to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner respectively.
- As a donation incentive, smashers were able to reserve a minimum of five elbow tickles from Maryland smasher, Moonshoes, via the start.gg tournament page shop.
- The first social night of the tournament was sponsored by Heavy Seas Brewery, a local brewery in the Baltimore Area. Entrants were allowed to spend $10 to sample beers and obtain a souvenir pint glass.
- The venue fee also covered hotel expenses as well as food, allowing entrants to sign up for the tournament and to have housing and food for the tournament all in one step.
