King Of Fields 95 3 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate major held in Eubonne, France, from June 24th-25th, 2023.
Tournament summary
The biggest upset of the tournament was on #3 seed Bloom4Eva, who fell to #67 seed Polinomis in pools (upset factor 10); Bloom4Eva ultimately finished 33rd after losing to #10 seed M4E for the second time within the month, tying Ultimate WANTED 4 as his worst major performance. The tournament's top 8 wasn't without UK representative, as #5 seed Luugi made a strong Loser's run after falling to #12 seed Space, defeating seven players to make it to Grand Finals, where he faced Glutonny in a runback from Invasion: April 2023. Glutonny ultimately won the set 3-1, winning his first European major since Syndicate 2019. In total there were six countries represented in the top 8: France (Glutonny and MoDzai), United Kingdom (Luugi), Germany (quiK and Tarik), Spain (Sisqui), the United States (Kurama), and the Netherlands (Space); this tournament joins Smash Factor 8, Pound 2022, and Smash Factor 9 as the most diverse top 8 for an Ultimate major/supermajor, as well as the first time all players within the top 6 were from different countries.
