Charizard (リザードン, Rizādon, Lizardon in Japanese language versions) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl in a sense; it is one of three Pokémon that can be played when you select Pokémon Trainer from the game's character select screen, the other two being Squirtle and Ivysaur. Like Pit and Meta Knight, Charizard is able to glide.
Pokémon Trainer was recently playable at the Whobby 2008 event. According to attendees, he was a slow, powerful character, and some regarded him as the best of the three.
