| Official description |  Only one Yoshi can join Mario on his next big adventure. May the best Yoshi win! The Yoshis are debating who will join Mario on his next adventure…but things seem to have got a little ugly.

King of the Yoshis (known as Battle of the Yoshis in PAL versions of the game) is a single-player event match in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In it, the player controls Yoshi, and must defeat seven other differently colored Yoshis in an 8-player stock match. Some of the other Yoshis have various custom moves. This event is played at Yoshi's Island.
Progression[edit]
This event is unlocked by clearing Playing Tricks. Completing the event unlocks the up path.
- Up path: Awards 500G. Leads to When Lightning Strikes.
Completing the event while KO'ing at least 5 of the opponents awards an Insult to Injury Saddle equipment.
