Trivia

  • Zackray's 3rd place finish marked the highest placement of a Pit/Dark Pit player at a major/supermajor tournament in any Smash game, and the first time a Pit/Dark Pit player placed in the Top 8 of an Ultimate major. Remarkably, this was also Zackray's first Ultimate tournament using Pit/Dark Pit.
  • Meru, despite being a former top EU player and participating in Japanese weeklies for a few months, was erroneously seeded to go 0-2. He subsequently outplaced his seed by nine Losers' side rounds, the most in the tournament.
  • acola and Asimo played in Winners' Finals and Grand Finals, which were repeat matches from Kagaribi 7.
