The sixteen chosen players from several countries in East Asia were invited to this tournament. The top 3 players qualified for the Smash World Tour 2021 Championships.

The tournament was initially set to take place from July 10th-11th then October 2nd-3rd, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[1][2] It was set to take place on November 20th-21st, but was moved up to November 13th-14th.[3]
