vugzi is a Super Smash Bros. Melee player from Vancouver, who is currently residing in Tokyo, Japan. Alongside Sala, vugzi is a tournament organizer for South East Asia Melee, a tournament series open to the South East Asia Melee scene.
From September of 2021 to February 2022, vugzi played under the alter ego "tendedsturgeon". vugzi created a backstory for this alter ego, stating that the player was originally from Ohio, was currently living in Busan, South Korea, and played Peach, Jigglypuff, Sheik, and Ice Climbers, all characters that vugzi did not play. vugzi eventually abandoned this alter ego, believing it was a bad idea to continue with it.
