My initial gut reaction is "too much visual clutter". Lots of color coding with no obvious reason for it (it took me about a minute of staring at it to realize it was color coded by character), and definitely too many symbols that have to be explained in the legend. While our current system for these tables isn't perfect, I find this to be too visually busy to be worthwhile. Miles (talk) 15:38, 23 October 2014 (EDT)
- The colours can be removed without a hassle (just a complaint :P ). The intent with the icons was to have a system where we could denote status without splitting blocks or having bold/italic text, both of which give characters undue prominence conpared to those with non-styled text. Are the universe symbols really necessary, or could we remove them? Toomai Glittershine The Engineer 16:10, 23 October 2014 (EDT)
- In fact, given how we just learned that unlockable status isn't shared between SSB4 versions, having icons is probably a more workable idea than anything else. Toomai Glittershine The Eggster 18:42, 23 October 2014 (EDT)
Suggestion. I find the series symbol next to the availability symbol to be a bit "loud"; I would suggest "stacking" them atop one another so that the series symbol is on top. As a whole, I think I like this system more, particularly in regards to the colour choices displayed.
