Why should the standards be different for someone who wasn't around at the time of the move to be grandfathered? I agree that there is no outstanding reason to promote someone who will just leave immediately, but even in that situation, what has been lost? :You have to post your Request for Adminship/Request for Bureaucratship yourself, so no. However, several things make people less inclined to support you:
:*If you make it clear that you simply want to have the title of admin/bureaucrat, rather than wanting to do more for the wiki and being an admin/bureaucrat would help you do that.
:*If you have a failed RfA/RfB.
:*If you nag users to support you, or constantly ask if they think you should post a request.

I have encountered 2 glitches that are questionable in how they are done. The first is the Blue Falcon and a problem with the camera. The second is one in which the majority of the Smart Bomb explosion was invisible.
