Woah hold on there[edit]
I am going to rollback everything, please come back with some legit sources. Also the stakes for "being listed in notable players" are much higher than "having a smasher page" Serpent King 20:03, 29 June 2016 (EDT)
Since when are PRs and tournament results not legit sources? If I had room to include links to said results, I'd do it. You can always add me on Twitter (PG_Tetra) or something, if you want to talk about it. Just thought I'd complete the notable players lists, since they're missing a LOT of people. Trying not to remove too many people though, giving them the benefit of the doubt. -Tetra
- They have to be PROVED with a link. Like I said also, we don't want every player listed. Only players that are famously notable with a character. Serpent King 20:09, 29 June 2016 (EDT)
I don't have enough room to provide a link for all of them. Or should I add them one by one, so I can give a link every time? It'd be easier to talk about it somewhere else, like Twitter/Facebook/etc. -Tetra
- On the side bar there is a link that says IRC channel, click that and go into webchat which is one the second bullet point, we can talk there Poultry(talk) the God-Slayer 20:13, 29 June 2016 (EDT)
Put it on the page's talk page if you must, but please consider this policy. At least 2 of the smasher that you have listed do not quite cut it. Also, please sign your talkpage posts with ~~~~ at the end of your comment. Serpent King 20:17, 29 June 2016 (EDT)
- Also, please do not add players immediately after you post.
- But, nonetheless, welcome to Smashwiki! With your knowledge on compeitive Smash, you'll be a great contributor! Just read the polices, and you'll be good. Penro 20:20, 29 June 2016 (EDT)
- Thinking about it, I didn't see what was exactly wrong with your previous idea. However, this time, you didn't provide a single piece of evidence whatsoever. Please do so next time. Thanks! Penro 16:35, 1 July 2016 (EDT)
- Yes, please provide any proof on smashers you know of in the edit summary, otherwise we will revert it. Please keep this in mind for future edits. Disaster Flare (talk) 16:37, 1 July 2016 (EDT)

I only added people who already had a page, and I had provided evidence last time already, I thought it was okay not retyping everything, especially since I talked about it in Web chat. I think I'm not gonna bother anymore, lol, every time I do something you guys delete it, evidence or not. -Tetra
- Please sign your comments. I think you might've misunderstood. While an article already existing certainly helps, there is always the chance that the article is outdated or has misinformation, so it'd still be good to have some proof on hand either way. Disaster Flare (talk) 17:04, 1 July 2016 (EDT)
I'll refine the doc I'm working on with all the evidence for everyone, then put the link to it as commentary. If that's not enough, I'll call it quits I think, I'm just trying to help here, but you all are making it difficult. :( - Tetra
- That should be enough, if the evidence is good enough. But, just remember, we are trying to put only the best players (of thier charater) in there. Not every good player, because the lists would be bloated. Just remember that in your document. Penro 18:34, 1 July 2016 (EDT)

Except the policy clearly states that if an article already exists on the given smasher, it's legal on the proof standard. I should know, I wrote the damned thing. Serpent King 19:55, 1 July 2016 (EDT)
- How about you just make pages and thats that, Poultry(talk) the God-Slayer 20:13, 1 July 2016 (EDT)
- Wait, why should I have to do it? I don't give a rat's ass if the articles are made or not to be perfectly honest. I just can't allow that many red-link players be added to these pages without explanation. Serpent King 20:19, 1 July 2016 (EDT)
- Tetra i meant Poultry(talk) the God-Slayer 20:22, 1 July 2016 (EDT)
- But, isn't it only the best of the best are allowed to be on the notable players section? Serge, for example, was added to Cloud's page by Tetra, but I believe he shouldn't be added, because one win on the 19th best player, while impressive, is basically the only notable thing he did with Cloud, and he mostly uses Lucario anyway. Penro 20:27, 1 July 2016 (EDT)
- I can't make pages right now, I don't have permission yet. Also Serge doesn't "mostly use Lucario", he basically doesn't have a real main. He uses a lot of Greninja, Roy, Cloud, and even some Charizard and Marth. If anything I haven't seen his Lucario that much lately. He's probably the second best Cloud in Mexico, just behind Leo. He hasn't just beaten Leo with his Cloud, either, but pretty much everyone else in Mexico City, including Javi and I believe Hyuga. Also, Leo is most likely top ten in the world atm. The PG Rankings only put him at 19th because he can't attend much outside of Mexico, but we all know he's way higher than that. Tetra (talk) 20:40, 1 July 2016 (EDT)

Also, @Penro, yes but that's the second thing to determine. I was just talking about the requirement to provide proof. An existing article on our site certainly qualifies as proof. Serpent King 20:43, 1 July 2016 (EDT)
- @Tetra If he doesn't have a main, per say, we should probably not put him on a character he doesn't use that much, due to his random main status. And please don't think of putting out ANTi as a counteract, he mains Mario mostly, and has a ton of secondaries. Unlike Serge.
- @Mars Ah, I see, oops.

Thank you for providing proof of notability. With that said...

SW:NOTABLE[edit]
Ah, there you are! I remember you made an article you posted on Google Drive and made public, listing notable smashers for each character. My question is: knowing the rules for notability have been updated, can you help us modify the "notable players" sections on some of the obscure smashers so that they don't look as obscure, and possibly still apply for notability? Examples on some smashers include Kapku, a G&W main.
Thanks, hope to hear an answer. -- Merry Christ... I mean, Happy Halloween from BeepYou... (talk) 18:07, 28 October 2016 (EDT)
A / Kamui[edit]
Hey! Sorry for the long inactivity, I was busy with other things these days! Right now tho, A (the best Ike in Japan) has a problem with some of the results on the website, and he asked me if I could help you guys understand. Where can I talk to you guys in private, it's kind of a complicated situation, but it's a big deal for A. I tried asking on the SSBWiki Web Chat but no one answered. Is there a Discord or something?
