Before creating glitch pages

1. Provide a link to the YouTube video if you found it on YouTube. This is important, as it allows us to verify it and see if it's true or not. By "link to YouTube", I mean a link to the YouTube video, not YouTube itself.
2. Before creating the page whatsoever, make sure to talk about it on the talk page first, and to see if it isn't already on another page or could fit on another page. If the glitch is minor and can be put on a character's/move's page, put it there instead of creating a new page.

Read this, it's important

Before creating new pages, make sure to check for the following:

1. If the content is already on another page, to an extent. For example, the page about 5-Volt isn't really necessary because her role as a stage hazard is already on the Gamer page.
2. If the content of the page can go on another page. For example, most glitches that can only happen to one character or is about a graphical glitch that can only happen in one mode should not receive their own articles, but rather, be put on the page about the character or mode.

Never remove a delete or speedy delete tag before talking about it on the talk page. If you feel something shouldn't be deleted, take it to the talk page instead of removing the delete tag. Adding empty sections

Categories and subcategories

As a general rule, if something is in a subcategory, it should not also be placed in the main category, because then the main category becomes a mess. For example, a smasher from New York should be in "New York smashers" but not in "American smashers". Indenting comments

While it's not required (to my knowledge), it's used quite commonly by most users. You should indent your comments. A general conversation should be typed like this:

NOT FUNNY

I am so offended right now. As a starter user at the beginning, why would users considered me as a vandal. I read all of the admin noticeboard and the section of me becoming a phenomenon of a vandal. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO OFFENDED LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE. This has gone way too far. First I have users treating me like trash, two days ago I have someone hijack my account. Why is everyone doing this to me. Its not funny! Is everyone trolling me or someone? It looks like it so it must be true. Why are users doing this to me? Does everyone hate me or someone? Cause I'm getting the feeling that I'm unwanted here and I'm guessing its probably all those users that were discussing about me in the admin noticeboard. Hey. I kinda remember when I was in that sort of situation starting out. I was talked down to by a few people, and, I'll be frank, I wasn't very happy. But, I took the advice I was given on board. Now, I'm not saying you're a bad editor, because you're not. But, when someone tells you you've done something wrong, rather than get upset over it, you need to think about it, and move on. Now, that leaves the question about this whole "reporting as vandal" business. Just remember, at the time, and even now, we have spam and vandals coming in from all sides. Now, I'm not saying that's an excuse. But, just do what I do. Is the fact that you were reported as a vandal effect you now? And is anyone else thinking about it? Now, as to who hacked your account, I actually think it'll be someone off-wiki. It's unlikley that someone would hack your account to smear your name. But, as I said, just try to relax, take the advice on board, and don't feel like you're unwanted, because you're not. Fun fact: I never said you were, nor thought of you as, a vandal. All I said is that you're a little "misguided", which isn't the same as saying "you're a vandal". Even though it may look like everyone hates you and you're unwanted here, the truth is that it's the complete opposite of that. Every contributor is valuable and wanted here, even you, no matter what you may think at the moment. I see that you're a little mad at me, but don't be. I suggest getting over all this and move on, because that vandal report was 12 days ago, and our thoughts have changed since then. And if you feel there's a problem at all, just post a message on either the admin's noticeboard or an active admin's talk page (preferably not both, though).

I just thought I'd let you know

There's a limit on how many userpage edits you can make in a certain amount of time. This amount varies between users, but it's usually no more than 3-5 edits a day, or if userpage/forum edits consume more than 50% of your total edits. I don't think you've hit this limit (maybe yesterday, but not today). Try not to do too much userpage edits in a single day, or you might get put on probation, which you shouldn't worry about at this point unless you do 10+ userpage edits in a day, which hasn't happened. Where's my Messages?

I got a notice saying I got two messages, but there wasn't even a new message at the bottom of my talk page. What happened to my messages? Is it

• A: the rollbacks send me somthing then the bureaucrats revert it.
• B: A vandal like Tourneyfag send a message then it got reverted by the bureaucrats then that user got reported and blocked by Toomai or Miles of SmashWiki.
• C: A standard user that is a complete retard send me something then he/she revert it quickly. (warnings about cussing is already too late, thats means you PikaSamus).
• D: None of the above.

Here's what happened. A vandal (1 message) posting something vandalistic on your talk page, which was reverted (2 message) by someone else for being vandalism (false accusation of something). Also, it wasn't rollbacked; a general undo was used in this instance. So the answer would be B, but not by a user like Tourneyfag; just a general troll.

Another thing: with choice C, you shouldn't call people "complete retards"; it's offensive and a personal attack, which aren't allowed. Rtzxy Reflect! 10:59, 22 December 2014 (EST)

Dr. Pain's quote is not a personal attack. OT's quote, while it can be seen as a personal attack by some, is more trash talk than a PA. The last one sounds like a personal attack to me, albeit a very minor one, though, I believe, it was said long ago and nothing can be done about it now (correct me if I'm mistaken). I've been planning on an archive lately although this is my 20th message created. Since this Archive seems pretty big, but not like Toomai's which he has like about 40+ messages, it's getting pretty large. One problem is that I don't know how to make one.

Userpage edits

Two things:

1. Don't do too much userpage edits without editing the mainspace. With the amount of edits you do a day, I suggest you do about one userpage edit every one or two weeks, maybe less, so you don't risk getting put on probation.
2. The "Japanese" on your userpage, when put onto Google Translate, is just random gibberish. There is no translation to it from Japanese to English.
