Adding players to the historically significant sections[edit]
In the future, if you want to add a player to the section, please bring it up into the talk page first and then add the character if there is a consensus. We have to be strict on these sections as, in the past, they've been filled with a bunch of people that just had a few good placements. I recommend reading this if you have any more questions.
As for MkLeo, although he has great placements with the Aegis, aside from a couple of online tournaments and the SWT Final, MkLeo has largely used Byleth in tournament, so he hasn't had that much established history with the character. Just because a top player plays a character does not mean they should be automatically added to the section. CookiesCreme 17:47, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
Smasher pages[edit]
A quick heads up, if you're going to create a Smasher page, please don't just leave it in an incomplete state; if you need help, you can copy off another Smasher page to use as a template. In addition, as per SW:SMASHER, all Smasher pages need an introduction, infobox, tournament results, and categories upon creation. CookiesCreme 20:49, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
Cookies, I thought I had everything required. He is categorized as a smasher, he has an introduction, infobox and tournament results table. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smashmouth (talk • contribs) 20:54, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
- I should have clarified, upon creation, you missed the categories, which would've appeared on the bottom of the page. Also, the page was left in a mess, which is what I'm mainly poking you about. CookiesCreme 21:00, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
I see you edited it to make it more aesthetically pleasing. I’m not sure why the lack of this is considered a mess, but thank you. Also what was wrong with putting in the amount of entrants and taking out 2v2 placement? None of the tournaments listed are doubles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smashmouth (talk • contribs) 21:07, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
- For your first point, that is the standard for Smasher pages, and it's best to stay consistent with what we have. For the other point, we don't need entrants count for Smasher pages because there's no point in adding it there. If there's no 2v2 placements, we just put two dashes (—) for consistency with how we record other tournaments. CookiesCreme 21:13, September 19, 2021 (EDT)
- There is a minimum standard that ALL pages on the wiki must conform to. In particular, Smasher pages must have the infobox at the top of the page, before anything else. Not only that, but it has to have headers, categories, external links (where available) and as many tournament results as you can get for it. Compare your first revision with how the page is now, and it should be obvious why it's such a problem. For more information, please read the Manual of Style. Black Vulpine the 🦊Furry🐺.
