Character usage

Can you please provide some sources for the players winning sets with these characters? SmashWiki only lists characters that helped to win sets. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 10:52, September 15, 2024 (EDT)

Also, we do not add characters that are barely used to smashers' infoboxes. Not every character a player used a few times before deserves to be listed as "retired". NPM Morr!? 07:28, September 20, 2024 (EDT)

I'll also have to emphasize that just because a player used a character in one event does not mean it belongs in their infobox, or else there will be severe bloat in the infobox, which the wiki had an issue with for a long time. Just a few examples below:

• Shion's Joker not only has only one recorded usage at a tournament on the wiki, but also has only has been used in 10% of Shion's sets in the last 6 months, as opposed to 90% for Hero. This is certainly not enough to be noted in the infobox. The same idea applies to your edits to other players such as Kaninabe and Miya.
• Sisqui only seldomly used Snake in tournament, and even when he did it was usually on players he could beat with any other player. As such, his Snake is not notable enough to be listed in the infobox, even if he was ranked with Snake at one point (and even then, his rankings section specifically notes why Snake's listing was dubious)
• A character only belongs in the "retired" section if they were used significantly enough in competitive play, and not if they were used as a one-off character or a sandbagging character.

Please keep this in mind before you add more characters to the infoboxes. I trust you have good faith in your edits, but you cannot keep doing this while ignoring our talk posts. CookiesCreme 16:09, September 21, 2024 (EDT)

So, in order to send you the correct information, I check if the that fighter is used on the Smash Wiki before saving the changes, and if it's appropriate, I save it, and if it's not appropriate, I don't save it, so I send it with the right judgment. Finally, I have a question. A while ago I changed Carmelo and listed Shulk as his other Smash characters, but was that the right decision? Sorry for the long message
