Hi there![edit]

Welcome!

Welcome to our wiki, and thank you for your contributions! There's a lot to do around here, so I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.

Read this first as it provides many great resources designed to help users get oriented with the wiki and become part of the community.
Visit the recent changes to see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
Questions? You can ask at the help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!
Need help? The community portal has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit.

I'm really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!

Costume colours[edit]

I can see you're trying to help, but your recent edits to the SSB4 costumes page are causing problems. Specifically:

  1. You cannot simply change the names of costumes because the head icons are hardwired into them. If you think your idea for a costume name is better than a current one, suggest it on the talk page so it can be discussed and implemented properly.
  2. Do not change the Find Mii colours, even if they don't make sense, because we're listing them as how the game has encoded them. Again, if you think you've found an error, bring it to the talk page.

I'll have to revert your recent edits for now because of these points. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Riotous 22:00, 16 November 2014 (EST)

You need to to take this seriously. For someone who makes so many edits to the alternate costume pages, you seem to pay very little attention to what your edits actually do to the page. Both this edit and this edit of yours broke the image links for the releated head icons, which should be obvious both when you preview and when you save, and so should not have been done for the reasons I outlined above. Okay, I realize I didn't explicitly say this above, but here's something else you need to know: Don't change colour names just so they match what the game outputs in tournament mode (the bars in the images). It's a bad idea overall because there are so many costumes for which it makes no sense whatsoever (like Ike's default, which while called "cyan" by the game, quite obviously has no hint of cyan in it whatsoever). You are not giving any hint that you are listening to me. What I wrote above is not just a suggestion - most of your recent edits have to be reverted because they break the page, and it's really irritating. You seem to be editing in good faith, but you need to prove that by adhering to the above instructions. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Sharp 10:24, 18 November 2014 (EST)

Mario images[edit]

I'm just wondering where you found these images. They don't seem to be ripped from the game. Would you mind giving your source? Nyargleblargle (Talk) 18:45, 21 April 2015 (EDT)

These images are in fact from the coding of the game, but these images were never used. These are the images WITH the fireball, so these images were never viewable on the costume selection screen. It took a very long time to find these images (the whole past weekend), so please don't delete them. Also, I apologize for the costume pages. I was new to the wiki at that point in time, so I didn't know how to view messages. 20:02 21 April 2015 User:Jamescamden05
What are you planning to do with these images? Toomai Glittershine ??? The Prismatic 20:26, 21 April 2015 (EDT)
I am planning to go to Mario (SSB4)'s page and place these images under the "Alternate Costumes" section. Jamescamden05 (talk) 20:40, 21 April 2015 (EDT)
The images you uploaded are lower quality and also not representative of the CSS appearance of these costumes, making them a poor choice for demonstrating the costumes' differences. Miles (talk) 20:58, 21 April 2015 (EDT)
