User talk:Gig
hi[edit]
Stop misusing Talk:Fox (SSBB). The standard damage ratio is 1.0, and your arguments about competitive games are not only bad but misplaced. Keep the discussion on that page about the content on that page, not about what you believe are ideal competitive settings.

- "your arguments about competitive games are not only bad but misplaced"
- when you ask someone to stop doing something how about you do it without insult, maybe i wouldnt be so tempted to prove how retarded you people are if you werent all such conceited dicks
- regardless, would you like me to delete it all great one?Gig (talk) 15:11, 12 October 2010 (EDT)
- No, deleting comments isn't allowed.
- Omega Tyrant already told you your unsupported statements do not belong on the Fox talk page. You didn't listen, instead posting another rant about something I'm fairly sure you know nothing about (by which I mean I don't believe you have any experience with competitive play, thus making you a poor judge of what goes on at higher levels. If I'm wrong please feel free to provide evidence to the contrary). Once you are an accepted member of the competitive Smash community, maybe then you'll be able to legitimately back up an argument about some random damage ratio nobody cares about or how all the Smash pros are cheap dicks (despite the fact you probably don't know a single one). All of that screams bad argument to me.
- As an additional last note, the irony in "maybe i wouldnt be so tempted to prove how retarded you people are if you werent all such conceited dicks" makes me laugh. Please try to make your posts more logical in the future, and do take care to avoid personal attacks. – Emmett 15:45, 12 October 2010 (EDT)
Your rants[edit]
Hi, I noticed you tend to rant a lot on the Wiki about what you think is wrong with Smash Bros. or the competitive scene, and while everyone is entitled their opinion, users here probably don't care, and if anything, you'll just annoy them with your consistent ranting. While you can rant on your userpage, or even create a forum about it (as long as the forum has the chance to be constructive, unlike the last one you created), ranting about things not related to the content of an article does not belong on talk pages. Your ranting here will also do no good for you, and you're better off doing it on SWF or AiB (two sites where people are more likely to listen to your rants and where your rants have some sort of chance to accomplish something, but it is also more likely for you to get criticised and ridiculed on them), or if you really want to change the next Smash Bros., you could even try to mail a letter to Nintendo or something (though I doubt that will accomplish anything in your favor). While we don't have any policies and such against users ranting about things (unless they take it to a talk page it doesn't belong on), it would be appreciated if you cooled down with the ranting and focused more on the actual content of the Wiki. Also, while you may not have good grammar, it seriously seems like you don't put any effort at all into your grammar. You could try to at least use proper capitalisation and punctuation. People will be much more likely to take you seriously if they didn't have to go through so much trouble themselves just to read your rants. It's also part of what we consider proper talk page etiquette.
So basically, lessen the amount of ranting you do and keep it off of talk pages, and try to put some sort of effort into the grammar of your posts, especially if your edits are going to consist of only talk page posts. Omega Tyrant 02:06, 5 November 2010 (EDT)
N00b calling[edit]
By now, you should realize that when I called you a n00b, that was before I became more dedicated to changing my attitude. It appears to me that you don't know the definition of n00b I'm using. I am using the newbie n00b, not "you suck" n00b, which is something I don't say anyway. I call any newbie who doesn't do things right a n00b. Just to clarify that I didn't mean the "you suck" n00b.--MegaTron1XD 10:34, 6 November 2010 (EDT)
Spacing[edit]
Can you take the time to space and check your spelling man? You probaly can and you should.--MegaTron1XD 20:59, 13 November 2010 (EST)
Your attitude[edit]
Improve it. SA is suppose to be fun and friendly and you're taking away the mood.--MegaTron1XD 10:12, 5 December 2010 (EST)
- You kind of ruined it yourself with your comments in Round 62 with "get serious" and all that. You could do with an attitude adjustment as well. Toomai Glittershine 12:35, 5 December 2010 (EST)
megaboy if anyones gonna complain about my attitude, let it not be you,cuz i just dont take you seriously, you and omega are so critical of everything its annoying,if both of you would learn to shut the hell up and stop responding to every little thing and just let things go most arguments wouldnt go beyond the original post, but at least i respect omega somewhat because he does sound knowledgeable albeit smug and close minded at times, but you,i just cant take you seriously at allGig (talk) 13:11, 5 December 2010 (EST)
- I think that Mega's point was that it kinda ruins the spirit of SA when you simply attack the other side. The point of SA is to simply act as a poll for the two sides. It's fine to start a friendly argument, but what you were doing (using bad language and cussing at the other option) was not. Mr. Anon (talk) 14:02, 5 December 2010 (EST)
Smash Arena[edit]
Please read the rules. You are only allowed to suggest one fight per week. Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:42, 18 December 2010 (EST)
- whoops my bad, must have overlooked it when reading the rulesGig (talk) 14:49, 18 December 2010 (EST)
Your grammar[edit]
You are going to start using proper spacing and capitalization in your posts. If you don't, you will be blocked for disruption. I'm tired of having to re-read your stuff two or three times to be sure I get it because of the lack of spaces and uppercase letters, and I'm sure a lot of other people are too. Toomai Glittershine The Metroid 18:02, 1 January 2011 (EST)
Just to clarify: I'm not saying that you're gone for three days for making a grammar error. I'm saying that large paragraphs full of consistent grammar errors are disruptive and frustrating to people trying to read them, and so should deserve minor punishment after going on for this long. Delete[edit]
I dont know how deleting works on a wiki,is it possible to delete a user space and the talk page,if so id appreciate it if someone could do it for me,Toomai?Omega?Megatron?Miles?Anyone? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gig (talk • contribs) 19:28, 7 January 2010 (EST)
- If you want your user page deleted, then put something like
{{d|User request}}
on it. If you want your talk page deleted, too bad; the best you can do is archive it and then ask to have the leftovers deleted. Toomai Glittershine The Awesome 19:32, 7 January 2011 (EST)
