Goblin Hop[edit]

I've noticed you've been uploading images related to "goblin hops". Can you explain what that is because I can't find any mentions of them anywhere. From what I can see in the images, they appear to simply be directional air dodges. --CanvasK (talk) 22:51, September 19, 2022 (EDT)

I hopefully clarified the tech and its utility in the recently created page. I can't find mention of it online, but it's discussed with some regularity in various Smashcords I help moderate --Frameperfect (talk) 22:59, September 19, 2022 (EDT)
How often is it used and in what context? To me it sounds like a term used to make fun of someone for doing a poorly timed directional air dodge. --CanvasK (talk) 23:08, September 19, 2022 (EDT)
I see it quite often. In particular, it's common in neutral when an opponent is consistently applying shield pressure (e.g. Cloud backairs) but they mistime their aerial and need to bail out before hitting the shield (so they goblin hop through the opponent's shield). It's also an increasingly common ledge get up option (jump get up to immediate air dodge through an opponent).--Frameperfect (talk) 23:12, September 19, 2022 (EDT)
