A couple of things[edit]
Wouldn't it make sense to name the skateshoes ability "Speed Skater", since that's the name given to the equipment effect in Smash 4 which functions the same way?
Also, the "reflect_limit_up" ability appears to be referring to the reflector limit (all reflectors have a limit on how highly damaging a projectile they can reflect, and will "break" if the damage is above the limit). Alex the Weeb 19:23, February 28, 2020 (EST)
- Maybe. Equipment has a different naming scheme than abilities, so I tried to not rely on them too much.
I also didn't know about it.If I were to name it to be similar to the ability naming scheme it would be 'Uncontrollable Speed', which is already used as a condition but they've reused names for multiple things. - I was going back and forth on what it meant exactly for a while. I went with what I put because it sounded cooler, but yours makes more sense now that I think about it.--CanvasK (talk) 19:35, February 28, 2020 (EST)
final_charge_offense_up[edit]
It occurs to me that this unused Spirit effect sounds very similar to the condition "The enemy will charge up a powerful Final Smash", which speeds up the FS Meter charge rate and boost Final Smash damage by 1.5x. Is it possible that it is applied to opponents where this condition is listed? Alex the Weeb 21:39, March 12, 2025 (EDT)
- Great observation. I looked into ui_spirits_battle_db and in Mythra's battle, Corrin uses final_charge_offense_up, beamsword_master, and final_charge_offense_up... again. There doesn't appear to be a field for what conditions are shown (other than a boolean to show a particular index), but in msg_name.msbt there is nam_spirits_hint_skill_final_charge_offense_up which corresponds to that message, so I'm guessing that is done on-the-fly instead of hardcoded.
