First thing that should be mentioned is not to revert an edit if yours was reverted previously. If you disagree with a revision you can discuss it on the talk page instead. Now as for the edit itself, map is still a valid term as people still use it, reguardless of how illogical it is in this context.

- It's not even that illogical. The term 'map' is used in 3D programming to refer to the digital environment/location in which the gameplay takes place, and is not exclusive to shooters and sandboxes. Mario Kart 64 announces the track selection as "Select map", for instance. Now, I grant you that it's not a commonly used term in fighting games, but that doesn't change the fact that the term still exists and is valid by definition. Black Vulpine the 🦊Furry🐺.
