Reception[edit]

Technicals's videos have had a mixed reception amongst the Smash Bros. community, with one of his detractors being the comentary Youtuber JohnSwan.

Credibility[edit]

Technicals's credibility has been challenged, with one notable example being his infamous What Really Happened to ZeRo video. On December 8, 2021, JohnSwan released a video dubbed What Really Happened to ZeRo, parodying Technicals's prior video. While JohnSwan praised Technicals's deconstruction of the stories presented in his video, JohnSwan accused Technicals of building a narrative when it came to the Skype logs, as he noted that Technicals had ommited a large section of Katie's TwitLonger. He also noted that ZeRo had already confessed to sending the Skype messages within another TwitLonger. JohnSwan also believed that Technicals's method of aquiting the messages was non-sensical, further convincing John of Technicals's wish to build a narrative. Finally, JohnSwan also included a clip of Technicals saying that the story in the video was indeed a narrative.

A Discord conversation between Technicals and ZeRo would also later be leaked, leading to many believing in Technicals's attempt to build a narrative.[1]
