The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Super Smash Bros. Infinite is an upcoming free to start mobile game . It was announced on April 1st, 2020, and is to be the first Super Smash Bros. spin-off. The game is scheduled to release in fall 2020. Unlike the past games, which used 3D models, the game is made using sprites. Similar to successful mobile games such as Fire Emblem Heroes and Mario Kart Tour, the game will have gacha style mechanics, with players being able to purchase in-game coins to summon past Super Smash Bros. Fighters.
A subscription service is being planned that will cost $19.99 a month for special in-game rewards, including special costumes for Fighters.
Gameplay[edit]
Due to being on less powerful devices, game play has been simplified, with more RPG mechanics being incorporated. Fighters will have one of two options in battle: attacking and shielding. There are two kinds of attacks: normal and special. Each fighter has 4 special moves, which cost SP, or Special Points, to use. Normal attacks do not cost any SP, but are less powerful. Shielding protects from any moves, however, shielding has limited health, and does not regenerate.
All fights now use stamina, similar to an RPG.
Characters[edit]
Similar to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, all past characters will return. However, only the original 12 will be summonable to start. Fighters will be added through special banners, with new characters being planned to be added after all past characters are added.
Stages[edit]
All stages are planned to be added, however, they will only appear as backgrounds in a match. Each stage gives a power boost to a Fighter from that universe. For example, any character from the Super Mario universe gains a power boost from any Super Mario stage. This means that R.O.B., who does not have a stage, will get no power boost ever.
