Makoto Yuki (ゆーき まこと, Makoto Yuki) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 5. He was confirmed as a playable character on December 6th, 2024 during The Game Awards 2024. He is the first DLC fighter to be part of Fighters Pass Vol. 1 in Smash 5. He will be released on March 5th, 2025 along with Tartarus.

While its not confirmed, Makoto seems to be voiced in English by Yuri Lowenthal, who reprises his role from Persona 3 onwards. Akira Ishida reprises his role in the Japanese version according to the reveal trailer.

Moveset

Makoto's moveset is mostly unknown with exception of his specials.

Travia

• Makoto is the second character from Persona after Joker.
• Makoto was originally an April fools character but this was scrapped so he can be an actual playable character.
