Makoto Yuki (ゆーき まこと, Makoto Yuki) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 5. He was confirmed as a playable character on December 6th, 2024 during The Game Awards 2024. He is the first DLC fighter to be part of Fighters Pass Vol. 1 in Smash 5. He will be released on March 5th, 2025 along with Tartarus.


While its not confirmed, Makoto seems to be voiced in English by Yuri Lowenthal, who reprises his role from Persona 3 onwards. Akira Ishida reprises his role in the Japanese version according to the reveal trailer.

Moveset[edit]

Makoto's moveset is mostly unknown with exception of his specials.

By default A blast of fire that can be charged up to become Agilao and Agidyne. Changes to Megidolaon when Messiah is used and Maeigaon when Thanatos is used.
Side special God’s Hand 20% Unknown
Up special Archangel 0% Makoto seems to be using Archangel to glide.
Down special Wild Card 0 Changes Makoto Persona between Orpheus, Thanatos and Messiah to change his Neutral Special.
Final Smash Great-Seal 100% Makoto seals the opponent but at the cost of the user's stock.
