User:Serpent King/Feature article checklist

A quick checklist for flipping the feature article:

1. Create the FA/# template.
2. Flip the Main Page feature article thing over so it displays the new one.
3. Add the new template to this list.
4. Add the "featured" article icon to the new featured article.
5. Semi-protect the new featured article for 3 months, so it expires when the next one hits.
6. Go to MediaWiki:Sitenotice and change the date for and comment out the FA notice.
7. Go to SmashWiki:Featured content, add up the vote tally for all the suggestions, and change the tag at the top accordingly.
8. Archive all accepted, expired, and negative suggestions.
